these work great for ford 9 inch axles. On mine, I never had any when I got the vehicle even though they were supposed to be there. Just be aware that the hole sizes for these are 1/2, so it may require some adjustment if you have smaller bolt holes, but it fits fine on the tapered style axle bearings. Just make sure you point the flange lip inward toward the axle housing, not towards the brake drum
