I installed this on a 6G72 SOHC engine (02 Galant GTZ). The shape looks a bit different but overall the correct size and mounting holes. It was not confusing to install and fixed my vacuum leak. Should still be similar to 6G72 DOHC also.

Purchased for use on a base 3000GT DOHC 3.0L, but just way too different from the factory gasket and no clear direction on what orientation for correct installation. I looked at using this during re-installation of my throttle body and was so confused about what the proper installation orientation would be that I decided to re-use the original gasket instead and place an order for a new OEM gasket. Will now have to remove the throttle body again to replace just the gasket once the new OEM one arrives. Given other reviewers' comments, maybe there is a way to install this such that it works, but it's certainly wasn't outright obvious to me and I was unwilling to spend any more time puzzling over it.

The part is 95% exact compared to the original. The part has a position upon installation not like the original that any position it will be good.

Oem mitsu gasket is hard to find and different than the talon. This one works great on the evo intake.
