Used this to replace the VVT seal on a 2007 Ford Expedition with the 5.4 3v triton engine, the outer diameter is slightly too small and the seal can slide out of the valve cover. I used rtv to seal it into the cover, but if I had more time I would have purchased an OEM seal

I have the center hole, newer design, valve covers on my 2007 mountaineer. There are only two types. One with the little lift tab that you can replace without removing the valve cover, and this design which requires removing the valve cover. The fit should be very tight. The diameter is too small on these, so they don't fit in snug, and would simply pop out during driving.
