I used to have an oil leak close to the coolant pump on my 2005 Ford Five Hundred Limited but after I purchased this, installed it myself and I do not have any oil leaks again.

I installed the cam seal on a 2008 Escape V6 and the seal fit fine and I don't have anymore leaks from that area of the engine. I don't know what the straight seal is for, maybe this is a universal kit for different configurations because I did not use it.

The seal fits but is not the same dimension as the original. If you lay it on a flat surface, it is not as high as the motorcraft seal. I hope it does come out!

Replaced the seal on the back of the camshaft. I have no idea what the other part was for though.

I bought this as it was listed for a 2011 Escape on Rock Auto. Amazon could get it to me faster / cheaper.The camshaft "red" seal will not work. Ford made this plastic bracket with the camshaft seal glued into the housing.Unable to locate a new replacement seal. Instead I have to order this part to replace mine that is worn out. 9L8Z-6B293-A . While this says it wont fit the 2011, I have confirmed on a forum that this is a direct replacement. Most of the time its the lower seal strip that is leaking. But this deep into this job, and this many miles, I want to replace the camshaft seal as well. This part was also made for Mazda engines, in aluminum, but the camshaft seal is more than the whole part from Ford. Lasted 13yrs. Hopefully get the same life out of the new one I have to buy, if I have this vehicle for this long.I bought another one of these kits bc it showed a black seal... sadly its the same red one. Amazon doesnt carry it, but Ford, TASCA, and the bay does. Hope this helps anyone.
