These are absolutely quite adhesive and no one will probably ever have any problem with them staying on the wall. Which also leads to their biggest problem - they will not come off the wall!I took one off to put it somewhere else, and: disaster. The cork part itself comes right off in one piece, but leaves the entire adhesive backing on your wall and it is almost impossible to remove.I've been working at this with a hairdryer, "the Pink Stuff" and a scratchy sponge, and I'm in search of a razor blade to scrape next. I'm horrified that I stuck five of these to the wall and they're going to take probably an hour each to get the adhesive cleaned up (if this even works!!).I've already gouged a small hole in the drywall/paint with my removal efforts. FULLY recommend using sticky-tack or Command strips to put these to your walls!!

This is a different idea for a board, I like the colors available. I chose the purple and I did think it was cork behind the felt but it is not. Push pins go in nicely into the felt board. Because some reviewers mentioned that this takes the paint off the wall; I decided to put mine on a poster frame that I had painted the edges white. It seems like this will work out so far. I did use a nail and some command strips with it to keep it steady. I was able to pull off the backing from the glue using a tweezers and grabbing it from the middle of the strip.
