For less than $0.50 per square foot you can protect bulbs and plants from hungry critters. The 23 gauge wire is flexible and easy to cut and shape.Make sure to wear heavy gloves when working with the hardware cloth. It is very sharp and easily pricks skin if you are not protected. The 2 foot width is perfect for cutting wire baskets to bury plants and bulbs. It is very easy to cut with tin snips and can even be cut with heavy duty scissors. By making straight cuts on the edge you can make rectangular baskets of multiple sizes. For large areas simply overlap at the seams. It is also easy to custom bend and shape to keep your plants protected.Even though the wire is thin, with the galvanized steel I expect to get several years of service from each basket. With very little effort you can save 75% or more over buying pre-made bulb baskets to keep those rascally rodents from munching on your precious plants.I use (and recommend) a heavier gauge to make fencing and cages for chickens, rabbits or other small animals. It will work for that purpose but most likely will not hold up as long as heavier hardware cloth and could be torn by persistent raccoons, foxes, coyotes and other predators.

I used this fencing wire to enclose the entire wood frame of my cat patio. It's sturdy, easy to cut with wire cutters and was the perfect size. I was looking for 1/4 inch spacing to keep out lizards and snakes and I didn't need a large amount. I'm very happy with this purchase.

This comes wrapped in tight tight tight (did I tell you TIGHT) shrink wrap that is practically impossible to remove!!! It’s so damn tightly wrapped I feared I’d cut the wire and be useless! WEAR GLOVES ~~~~~ Hey retail people ~~~ need to ship in a cardboard shipping tube NOT the devil’s shrink wrap. Once plastic is removed…it’s easy to work with the wire mesh as long as you’re wearing gloves. Cuts with tin snips…don’t use kitchen scissors cause too tough. My project is almost complete and I have extra to spare.

This hardware wire seems like it will do the trick. Used on a chicken coop to keep out predators. Seems to be good quality. I liked that it rolls out straight. Unlike chicken wire that maintains the curved memory.

I purchased this galvanized steel 1/4 inch wire to place under my bottomless planter to keep out the moles rampant in my area. I followed the instructions from a gardening standpoint and am expecting it to function well ! I had to do minimal cutting as the wire came well sized for my planter. Use care if having to cut the wire to size.

Can’t say enough about how pleased we are with this product. It is really well packaged and arrives quickly. Unrolls very easily and is top quality. And at a fraction of the cost of the big hardware stores, shipping is included - what more could u ask for?
