Really easy to install, very well made. Fortunately no neck shim was required on my P Bass. Was able to get super low action with no fret buzz. Looks great, especially with the Fender logo written on it.I don't know if it makes any difference in sound but there is a definite tactile difference you can feel with your fingers when playing a high mass vs a standard Fender bridge. The strings feel a lot more taut and stable, which makes playing percussively and slapping easier. The added sustain makes chords ring out better too. With the standard bridge you get more of a woody old-school feel I think, with a quicker decay, which a lot of players do enjoy as well.Saddles came pre-notched but a few of the strings did not line up in between the pole pieces. It's not affecting the sound that I can tell so it's really a non issue. More of a visual thing to me. Probably adjust it at some point in the future.Overall this bridge is a 10/10. I'd definitely buy it again!

This replacement bridge is the answer to all the problems I had with my MIM Fender Jazz bass. It solved issues like dead spots, lack of sustain and string volume issues. Slapping is WAY easier. Tuning is quicker and string tension is a bit stiffer. I had NO problems whatsoever with installation. Spacing is the same. String angle wasn’t changed at all. Like having a new bass.

Bought this as a replacement for the stock bridge on my Squier Affinity Jaguar Bass H. Install was a breeze. I needed to scooch the saddles back quite a bit to get back to the same position as they were with the stock bridge, but that adjustment was easy. For those looking at this bridge to help with the neck dive on the Jag H Bass, it's not a miracle solution, but it definitely helps. Seems to have improved sustain a bit as well.

This is a great bridge for a Fender or Squier 4-string bass. It bolts right in and is certainly more substantial than the original bridge.

The perfect upgrade for a MIM Fender bass. Direct, drop in, replacement. Installation could not be easier. A Philips head screw driver & the included Alan keys are all you need & it directly replaces the original bridge. Intonation setup was easy & perfect. This is the same bridge that Fender installs on their ULTRA line of basses. I highly recommend this product! I installed it on a Fender MIM Player Plus Top 75th Anniversary Jazz Bass.

Used this to replace the stock bridge on my Fender Player Jaguar bass. Combined with a .25 degree shim, I have gotten it set up with super low action and no buzzing. Couldn’t be happier.

This is a good bridge. My only complaint is the string balls stick out.

I have a `76 Fender Jazz bass and the bridge was looking a little tired. If I were using the bridge and pickup cover it wouldn`t matter, but I don`t use it as it restricts where you can play the strings. This bridge is much more solid and built to be seen. The screw holes are in exactly the right place, it`s a straight swap-in. There are no screws supplied so you have to use the 5 on the bass. The only issue was that after the swap, the action was maybe 3 or 4 mm higher at the 21st fret, which is way too high. Even with all the grub screw adjustment at the lowest, the saddles are way too high. Two options are possible: you could try to put a shim in the neck joint to alter the angle of the neck, or you have to file the saddle grooves down, in my case, a lot. I bought a set of luthier`s files and used the round ones to take the saddles down, maybe 4mm off the E saddle, maybe 2mm off the G saddle. Don`t do it all at once, take some metal off, refit and try it, bit more off, try it again. It's OK to take a bit more metal off than is necessary as you can then use the grub screws to raise the saddle a bit.Setting up the intonation is by using a cross-head screwdriver to adjust the saddle position back or forwards while checking the open and 12th fret tuning are both in tune. Do this for each string. I can`t get my head round why that is in different positions for each string, but it usually is!The look of the bass is much-improved and modernised. This bridge is sturdy and designed to be seen. A worthwhile upgrade, wish I`d thought of doing it sooner. You may well need those Luthier`s files, so have another tenner ready.

I've read pros and cons regarding changing out the bridge on your bass guitar. Some say it doesn't make much difference and others say it does, and in my experience after installing this bridge it made a remarkable difference in my bass. When I pluck a string the note obviously resonates more through the guitar body than it did using the stock stamped steel bridge. The note clearly sustains for much longer than it did previously.I can confirm that this was a simple bolt-on installation for my Squier Affinity Bass with no modifications to the body of the guitar, etc. Unscrew the old one, screw the new one on and you're good to go. You will need to go through a full set-up after installation to adjust string height and intonation obviously. It could just be because I threw a really good bridge on a cheap guitar, but it made a huge difference that I could clearly observe.
