I put this on a 51 Nocaster partscaster I built up, this solved the problem of the high E string jumping off the nut even though the Hipshot staggered locking tuners were supposed to prevent that from happening. It looks more authentic with it installed and fixed the problem.

Not much to say other than it works and is built solid. The price is good on it and I used this for a jazzmaster build. Super easy too install took me about a minute.

Nice replacement for the double string tree on my early 2000's Squire Telecaster. The screw on this is a little bigger than the stock screw that came on the Squire Tele, so I just used the original one with this and it worked nicely. It's more expensive that it needs to be , but it looks like around $10 is the going rate for one of them these days.

Decent- gets the job done.Overpriced, as all of this specialty hardware is. My main complaint is that it's just a bit too short in my opinion. I ended up spacing it up with a small nut in order to reduce the angle and downward pressure on the strings. In my experience, the best string guides are the taller ones that put just enough downward pressure but don't slam them right down to the headstock.

I recently bought a MIM Tele, and detest claw-type string trees. They just take away from the otherwise great looks of the headstock. In my opinion, there's really no sonic advantage between the two, so replacing it is purely a cosmetic upgrade. This part installed into the old hole with no issues, but note that the screw threads are a tad larger than the original, and least on my guitar. That makes installing this a one-way trip, so be sure this is the style of string tree you're going to be happy with. Actually, it's a good thing the threads are little larger, since the screw anchors better into the old hole. You can't use the old screw anyway, since it's a flat head and this one is beveled to match the tree.No complaints, holds the B/E strings at a perfect angle, and they don't slip out due to the slots under the tree. In the end, I'm glad I made the swap... Much sharper looking.

I recently bought a "Made in Mexico" (MIM) Fender Telecaster and it cane with a basic pressed metal w-shaped string tree screwed hard down against the head without a spacer in between. The break angle of the B and high E strings was crazy. This gizmo raises the strings about 3/16ths of an inch.Pros:- Genuine Fender- Fits in the same single screwhole so no new holes needed- Reduces the string break angle over the nut, thus reducing friction- Elevates the B and high E strings to their correct heights- Vintage lookCons:- None I can think of except perhaps the roller type trees might reduce friction a little further.

Old time Tele tree fits the bill, does the job and looks good. Keeps my strings from jumping out of the nut and me looking like a fool, cool tool (drool)!

These are the real thing: better finished than those often found on lower-priced instruments.A cheap upgrade for those copies out there.
