I bought these barrel switch tips to replace one, which had fallen off of my MIM Telecaster. I noticed the bottom of the barrel switch comes into contact with the switch cover plate; pushing the barrel switch tip off of the switch mounting post. However, I have not found a better replacement and keep a couple close by, when playing my telecaster. I would recommend these to other telecaster players, as they seem to get lost easily.

These work well, look great (like the originals) and they're easy to put on. I am experimenting with different glues to keep them on, because I use my switch a lot and play guitar for hours a day. One came off yesterday at a gig, but I was lucky to find it resting by my pedalboard.

Early 2022 got a 21 American Performer Tele. Nice guitar great deal but, switch tip falling off ugh. Never happened with my 2009 Am Special. Anyway, put up with it for 6 mo. So sick of it tried a diy thing with paper. Nope. Grr. Time to bite the silver bullet. Found this $7.99 for 2. Mixed reviews crossed my fingers. It came... snug as a bug in a rug (for old timers like me). May very by model but for Am Performer and Am Special it's a winner. Got a spare too ðŸ˜

No problems with these, fitted tele no problem, I will also be using the fill the circle with resin or glue idea as described by another reviewer as it is a great solution to this minor manufacturing problem and then maybe I won't need to keep purchasing switch tips.Please be aware that there are two switch sizes used on telecasters so measure to make sure they are the correct fit before ordering and moaning they do not fit !!! (measure the switch blade they slide onto - also they are genuine fender items made in japan)
