Received the Fender treaded bridge what a diffrence from the bridge that was on my Fender Squire Jazz Bass now I can align my strings right between the magnets on the pickups. The bridge installed right in place of the old one all screw holes aligned in same holes. I used the old screws because the new ones were too thin for the holes that were already drilled in the bass, no problem old ones are in great shape and fit right in the canted holes in the new bridge. If you are having problems with string alignment over pickups or just want to upgrage your old bridge this is the one. Great finish on the chrome and very easy to adjust NO ALLEN WRENCHES. Buy this one 5 STARS

Lots of fancy bridges on the market that have some great technology to them and I respect that technology a lot and own a few of them. But I just got one of these cheapo Fender bent plates with threaded saddles for the first time in a while, and I get quickly reminded how there's really nothing any other bridge can do that this one can't. And that includes transferring string energy to the body and neck (high mass bridges are snake oil, BTW). It does it inelegantly for this super high tech world, but it's super light, keeps your bass rock solid in tune, and costs less than almost everything else except its cheap knockoffs, many of which are also good. Many bassists complain that the saddles slide around on the plate and mess with their string spacing, but that's easily fixed. Just let the saddles drift in the direction that your strings pull them even if they get a little splayed out, then choose your saddle slot according to your spacing requirements. There's a saying that Leo Fender got it right. Personally, I think he could lightened up on those old school tuners, but he certainly got more things right than wrong and this bridge is one of them. Not pretty, not very high tech, but it's as good as any.

There is some magic in this very simple design. I replaced a high-mass badass bridge I put on my P bass in the 70's with the original vintage style. The bass has much more attack. Leo had it right most of the time and this bridge sounds better.

Sick of everyone telling me to buy these ugly bridges. I went with my gut and got a vintage and I couldn’t be happier. Exactly what I needed. Simple, sturdy, reliable. 10/10.

This bridge is the same plate thickness as the original. It's also the same as the MIM basses. That means two things. First, you do not have to adjust the neck angle due to an increased bridge height. Second, you get the tone that the vintage bridges gave to those old basses. If you like a thick, sustained, modern rock sound you will want a high mass bridge. But if you love the sound of the old basses then you'll like this bridge. It has the vintage look and most importantly you can adjust the string spacing to align the strings between the pickup pole pieces. I bought this bridge to replace the one on my MIM Jazz Bass because I didn't want to change the tone but I did want the ability to adjust the string spacing. This bridge does that well and looks vintage cool too. It was a direct fit so I didn't have to alter the bass at all. Replacing the bridge was as easy as changing strings. I'm very happy with this product.

These are exact copies of the original 2nd gen 1957 P-Bass bridges. They even use the wide adjustment screws like the original and the entire piece is correctly made out of steel. If you need a steel bridge you can't go wrong with one of these, everybody from James Jamerson, Carole Kaye, John Paul Jones and Duck Dunn on down used this exact bridge.

Awesome, this bridge should be on every Fender bass from factory. Notched saddles allow for precise string alignment on top of being lightweight.
