Nice upgrade. Didn't use these bushings because these newer bushings were larger and would have required work to increase the diameter of the hole on the guitar. Worked perfectly. Installation was a breeze. Took a youtube review to understand how these lock, but it was simple enough. They work great! Doesn't spoil the look of the guitar from the original tuners. Very pleased.

I own a new Starcaster, yet, not your run of the mill Strat or Tele, but a Starcaster with a unique head stock. The good news is these locking tuners just dropped in no problem. They look original, price was awesome, and the lock and work. If you want locking tuners that match the original style, these are the only ones to get. Worth them money and easy to install on a squiwr or fender.

The hard part was getting the collars off the old tuners. These fit perfectly and makes string changes easy, simple and less guess work. Also seems to keep guitar in tune a bit better.

I’m not the kind to leave reviews, but these tuners were so compelling I felt the need to. I could not get these off my tele fast enough. They look nice and that’s the one star. Functionality? Fiddly, terribly engineered design. I promise you will be cursing these things. I immediately removed them. Thank goodness Amazon has a good return policy or these would have went to the trash and I would just have eaten the loss.

These were drop in replacements for my Fender Sixty Six, added super stable tuning and easy string changesyou should put locking tuners on every guitar! super happy with them.

Let me start by saying I don't own these, yet. Because of the vintage rectangular backbox design of the tuners I imagine having a locking post on the top was the only way to implement these to fit properly without having to use some sort of baseplate because of the overlapping screws used to hold the tuners in place? The problem I see already is that depending on how hard you tighten the top post to hold the string for tuning you may have to carry a flat head screw driver with you in your case if you need to change strings in a pinch? Kind of defeats the purpose of having locking tuners IMO. And then there is the 1:15 ratio also.

The regular 'Vintage' tuning gear on my Mexican Fender were getting me out of tune as soon as I bent. Those tuning gears are better at keeping my guitar in tune than the stock. This is an unusual system that you need to get used to but it fits perfectly (on my guitar). And once you get used to you see the benefit, in terms of tuning stability. It's quality stuff, at least the set that was shipped to me.

I have several Fenders, Gibsons & an Epiphone. All have locking tuners (Grover, Fender). I bought these for my Noventa (made in mexico) Fender Strat.Advice - you don't have to force the internal braces out of the headstock, just re-use the originals. Otherwise you could damage the headstock without the right tools.Though it's not totally up to tuners to keep the guitar in tune, I must say these annoying little mini-tuner-heads keep this guitar in tune better than any & all of my other guitars. In fact, it's the only guitar that's perfectly in tune when I pick it up, almost every time. I use 9.5 gauge strings on this strat (no trem, it's body-thru) & yes, I know how to properly string guitars.
