This is perfect for Home Inspectors. Easy to use. I use with iPad. I have a 5' and 30' pole and get great photos with both.

Easy to use which very intuitive interface.Had some issue with WiFi connection where I needed to restart the app a few times before the image was attained. The NCVT feature is a bit hit or miss. It did not detect at the wall plate outlet but did detect a power cord plugged into a wall outlet.

I've been using this to aid in my inspections of boilers, and it has proven itself invaluable. One thing I found out the hard way is to ONLY use USB A to C cords, it will not take a charge on a C to C cord. One star down for that, but only that.

Good for checking the smoke chamber for creosote build up and any cracks or missing mortar

Fantastic CAM! Worth the expense. It’s a bigger CAM then others, but fits a purpose.

This camera is a neat idea, but the implementation and documentation, as well as truth in advertising fall short. At the top of the listing in BIG FRIENDLY LETTERS the resolution is proclaimed to be 1080. But for video, the most used mode, it is only 920. Honest marketing would have given both numbers equal billing.I had a little trouble getting it going, largely because of errors and omissions in the documentation. For the benefit of others: It will not charge from a USB C cable plugged into a USB C charger. I had to use the USB A/C cable and a USB A charger. This took a while to figure out because despite information to the contrary, the red light does not turn on when charged, it turns OFF when charged. Because I did not expect the red light until charging was complete, it was not obvious that it was not charging from my USB C source. Lesson learned, but better documentation would have saved me a lot of grief. For those who doubt that the documentation falls short, the suggested fix for the camera's WI-FI access point not being visible on your phone is to upgrade the camera's firmware. Unfortunately, you cannot upgrade the camera's firmware without connecting to the Wi-Fi, which is of course impossible since connecting to the Wi-Fi is the problem you are trying to fix.So overall, I like the camera, the concept, and the non-contact voltage detection. But the hardware, software, and documentation are all a little on the sketchy "beta tester" end of the spectrum.I give this Ferret a "C".

The company did not exaggerate concerning this camera and features. I have successfully tried and used the features in real job situations and I am very happy I bought it. I bought an 8' to 24' foot extension pole for roofs and chimneys. Incredible time and safety advantages. Good work guys.

Very quick delivery.Had also assistance, for some details, from Ferret ToolsSome technical information I could not found elsewhere : the internal memory is almost 8 Gb; resolution of 1080p if recording only into the internal memory (the settings of the app do not show this option but only 720p and 360p). Horizontal angle of view 70°.It fits into a pipe with diameter of 3.6 cm, but it is better to consider to use in bigger holes because the adaptor to attach probably make it a little more wider. The screwing system into the black part is not perfectly parallel to the axis of the FerretPlus and the adaptor when screwed into plunges down toward the lid to port and the switch making difficult to unscrew it. Also the smooth surface of the adaptors and the fact they are not coaxial make very difficult to unscrew them from the FerretPlus. At present day I made only test before to use out in the field (boreholes and small caves)Camera still in a place, Wifi connected to the smartphone at a distance of 2m, autofocus on, light off.It stay on for 55 minutes before to have low battery. It recorded 6 files of almost 300Mb each +1 of 30Mb for a total of 3,3 GbEach video is 5 minutes long with dimensions 1920x1080, Extension .mp4Quality of the video seems good.Good also the switch from auto-focus and manual-focus available from the smartphone

Bit bigger than I expected and the design with the rod thread means it gets stuck on every stud or snag inside the wall. Lost it in the wall on the first inspection. If I bought another one I’d get the Lite that’s moved the rod thread to the rear centre of the cylinder. Still, not a bad tool, just more difficult to use than it needs to be.
