5mm Centrotec self-centering drill bit. The Centrotec shank is designed for use with the Festool Centrotec System, as well as with all standard or keyless chucks for no-slip performance. The Centrotec System was designed to provide a seamless transfer of force, eliminating bit slippage or marring of the drill bit. The weight of the drill is reduced by nearly ½ pound, and the length is reduced by nearly 1-1/2” with the Centrotec System. Most importantly, the Centrotec system offers a quicker and more secure means of bit change than any other quick-change chuck system.

Am in the process of making cabinets with drawers. The Eruo screws are perfect for attaching the Blum hardware, but the holes need to be clean, centered, and straight. With little effort, the bit performed in the oak boards perfectly. The bit was easy to clean unlike other brands where the wood bits get jammed in the centering mechanism. Would definitely recommend this bit.

These little tools from festool are pretty amazing, they are extremely useful for particular things and if you can keep these tools organized, they come in handy. if you lose them, they are extremely expensive for something to lose and replace. I think that they are great, and they save me alot time and help keep a level of craftsmanship at a really high level.

The only thing I don't like about this is the price. It's a lot of money for what it is and I'm not sure it does the job any better than other brands.

Its nice to use a very well made, precision tool. Works exactly as advertised, time after time. Pricey, but worth it if you are doing high end furniture work.

Fünf Sterne weil das Teil macht was es soll. Toll verarbeitet und gute Qualität. Nur zur Info der Bohrer ist ein holzbohrer mit Zentrierende Spitze.Andere Werkstoffe bohren wird schwer. Man kann ihn auch nicht durch einen anderen ersetzen da er eine Wulst besitzt. Auch schärfen wird dann wohl ein Fall für den Schärfdienst sein. Bohrlöcher in beschichteter Spanplatte ausrissfrei und die Standzeit dürfte sehr hoch sein. Nach ca. 500 Löcher noch top. Tiefeneinstellung problemlos und bis 20 mm Tiefe möglich. Für Schablonen braucht man ein 8.2 mm Loch. Er passt in einen bitthalter arretiert aber nicht in den 1/4zoll Aufnahmen von schlagschraubern. Teuer aber super gut.
