he new Cleantex CT 26 dist extractor features a self-cleaning filter bag that solves a problem that plagues other dust extractors and vacuums. During normal use, fine particles of dust cling to the inner lining of the filter bag resulting in caking. This coating of dust lowers the effective suction power dramatically resulting in poor extraction efficiency and performance. Caking can also cause additional strain on your dust extractor's motor and contribute to premature failure. Festool has addressed this issue by developing a unique pliable fleece filter bag. Because the bag is not rigid like many other types of bags, such as paper bags, it prevents caking. This means that your Festool CT 26 dust extractor continues to deliver full suction until the bag is virtually completely full. Other manufacturers feet bags do not counter this caking effect and suction is reduced dramatically throughout the use of the bag, often resulting in a situation where suction is lost before the bag is completely full. When this occurs, you're paying full price for a partially used bag. The Festool filter bag also serves as a pre-filter and is able to trap dust particles down to five millionths of a meter, or 5 microns. This is about the same size as a red blood cell. By arresting these small particles, in addition to larger chips, the bag extends the life of your main HEPA filter, reducing wear and tear as well as the expense of frequent filter replacement. Bag disposal is quick and mess-free. An integrated closure on the bag shuts the opening to prevent spilling. The material is made to be tear resistant and prevent bag blow outs which can be messy to clean up. Now, that's smart.Includes five (5) bags.

You need these for a FESTOOL shop vacuum. They work great, but are a little pricey (as is everything from FESTOOL).

I bought these for a Festool Planex 2/CT36AC drywall sanding setup. Dust control with these is superb. The bags are pretty expensive, but these thing will continue to work and provide good air flow/suction to the collector until they are totally packed full. So you're not dumping out a bag that is only partly used. You can use them until they are 100% full. Quality of the bags is very good.

First used this CT 26 for plaster/lathe removal. Pulled the first self clean filter bag out, and I am impressed. I've used many commercial grade vacuum cleaner and shop vacs, but this has to be the most impressive. I realize this is the review for the bags - but that's what I'm talking about. The vacuum and bag combo it the most impressive I've seen. The first bag was definitely full, no voids or pockets. It came out of the vac and felt secure. Very little sign of any dust on exterior. I can see how these meet HEPA standard.

The bags work very well. I can even use them in my Home Depot Rigid-brand shop vac. Using bags saves the more expensive filters, prevents loss of suction due to clogged filters and keeps fine particulates out of the exhaust. As with all Festool products, these are too expensive, but it is what it is.

All my Festool products are outstanding. Yes, they are a bit high priced but if you want top quality you have to pay for it. these bags are effective and easy to install in my Festool vac.

Showed up 2nd day, couldn't be happier. I've owned several "shop vacs" that aren't a third of what my CT-36 is, and the bags cost twice as much.With absolutely no lost of suction, the only way to know if the bag is getting full is to feel the weight or open the vac--I LOVE THIS!!!Works with particles as small as drywall and even MDF dust. I hook this up to my Festool plunge saw, my table saw, mitre, anything with a dust extraction port and it keeps my air quality high, no more "white boogers."Generally, I am so pleased with all of my festool purchases. While spendy and first, the overall cost of ownership is the lowest I've experienced. Bags, sand paper, blades, all the consumables are so reasonably priced and have a longer life than anything else I have used; best of all they show up in the mail with free shipping. Highly recommend.

Cheaper than my local Festool supplier whom I’ve spent a fortune with. These came to site the next day cheaper than any trade counter I have accounts with. Most importantly I didn’t have to down tools and drive off to get them. Festool bags aren’t cheap but they really do work very well and keep the vacuum level constant and don’t let anything back into the filter or the air.
