The STA2 is a hot-wire Anemometer built for the hvacr professionals' air balancing needs. The compact probe tip makes measuring air velocity directly in the duct a breeze. It's great for traversing a duct and automatically calculating cfm without the hassle and expense of a bulky hood. The 38 inch telescoping probe's laser etched ruling and flattened edges allows techs to locate proper measurement points within a duct, and ensures that the probe is properly aligned. made in United States. The instrument is extremely easy to use, comes in a solid case. Magnet adds to convenience and the flow calculation feature is simple to setup and is a massive advancement over just having velocity measurement. I wish that I'd bought one of these years ago.

First time I use this field piece tool, I’m not gonna lie at the beginning I was little bit confuse but after I figure out on how to measure cfm I was impressed on how accurate and how simple is it to use!!Worth the money I paid !!I wish I had known before about this tool

Truly amazing technology. If you are an HVAC tech then you need this. just tell it the duct size and it does the rest. OK its not as accurate as a flow hood, but the convenience is way better. It's still probably accurate enough to be 90% within range.

I am a DIY guy evaluating and fixing duct work in a newer house. Unfortunately, you cannot trust supposed reputable HVAC contractors to do the job right. Hey contractors instead of using combination of rule of thumb and guessing figure load and CFM requirements and duct calculator. The Fieldpiece seems to be a well made meter I am very pleased with it. Shipping was quick and packaged good.
