KSD301 Thermostat has double metal chip, speed dynamic type, sensitive, reliable, stable action temperature, long service life, no arc phenomenon. There are two different materials for you to choose from: bakelite and ceramic.

I bought this product to replace a bad thermostat of similar ratings in my Mr. Coffee coffeemaker. I got it in and after several brewing cycles, it is working well. In order to do the repair, I had to buy this thermostat, which came as a package of two, plus a special tri-wing screwdriver, and some thermal paste. That made it cost almost as much as buying a new coffeemaker, but I wanted to save the old one. I already had some crimp terminals that I used, so they didn't really cost anything. If I ever need to replace the thermostat again, it will be easier and will cost nothing since I now have the crimp terminals on the wiring, and I have an extra new thermostat and thermal paste, and I have the special screwdriver. The original thermostat had the wires welded to the terminals.

I have had problems with my pellet stove "over firing" and the snap disc would open and had to be reset by hand every time. Now if or when it "Over fires", the disc opens until cool then reset. I started to replace the disc 5 years ago but they wanted $50 plus install with np guarantee that would solve the problem. and it was also a manual reset.Best $3 I've spent in a long time...

Thermostat does what it's supposed to but had a problem with the way it mounts. The one I replaced had a mounting bracket that was fixed to the thermostat and didn't move. This one the bracket is loose and made it interesting to install. Checked back on Amazon and could only find one other thermostat that I think has the same mount as mine. Next time I'll have to check the listing a little better.

I'm very happy with these thermal switches. I'm been replacing coffee pots about twice a year, but now that I know how easy it is to fix them, I'll check the switch first. I only wish I'd have kept some of the old pots to see if this was what was wrong with them. Hardest part fixing them was getting those damned tri-bit screws out!
