Soak the filter in clean tap water for 5 minutes to activate the filter and release the bubbles.

One of the filters was broken or made incorrectly, as soon as put it in my water filter pitcher, a fine charcoal started settling in the bottom of the pitcher. So far the other new one I installed has no issues.
