Because I live in an apartment, and because I sometimes work late nights, I needed something to darken my bedroom without having to drill holes in the wall and hang curtains. WOW! This DEFINITELY makes your room DARK!The toughest part, was simply peeling the clear backing off, but once I did, with some help, it went on really easily.Definitely clean your glass first with glass cleaner. And then spray the glass with a LOT of water. The good news is that you can move the film around on the glass. You might need an extra hand to help hold it. Work the bubbles out, and poof! Your room will be DARK! (As long as you cut it properly too of course!)Great product! Can be easily removed if need be, without damaging anything!

My work from home setup is in my living room. My roommate frequently goes out into the balcony to smoke, constantly forgetting to close the blinds so it doesn't glare on my screen, making it hard for me to see and I get annoyed having to keep putting it back like 10+ times a day.It was easy to put on, easy to cut, and really does a great job blocking the sun out so we can keep the blinds open partly so my roommate can go in and out the balcony without bothering me during work. All I did to install was clean the window with windex, let it dry, wet the window area with water, peel the backing off the film, then stick it on, readjust, cut, and squeegee out with a large flat thingy I got in another film kit back in the day and it worked great! Great coverage, easy install, 10/10 would buy again. Price is def worth it too. Way cheaper than having to buy anti glare screens for my monitors!

Ok so overall I like the product, there are a couple of "buts..."Firstly, the backing sheet is grid marks which helps you when measuring and cutting to the size of your windows. However, on my roll the grid did not appear square to the sides of the roll, so that made it a little difficult in measuring. That said, the material is easy to cut once you have marked it out and a pair of sharp scissors worked fine. The edges stayed clean, with no snags or fraying.Secondly, actually getting the backing sheet off the film itself was a real pain! It took me longer to get that off than anything else on the project! It is very well attached to the film, not a hope of getting a fingernail between them on the sides. Bending it back and forth, or creasing it, did not work either.I was worried about stretching or tearing the film, it was so difficult. In the end, the only way I could get them apart was to use the blade of the scissors to repeatedly score the backing film, until it cut through and then I managed to get the blade tip in between them and once started I was able to pull the film and backing sheet away from each other.Lastly, as the instructions state, you do need to use a water spray and really soak the window, then the film will slide into place and you can sponge it out.I had to try a couple of times on the first window, as I did not intially use enough water. Once I realized the issue, used more spray and the remaining windows went quickly. So good product, just very very fiddly getting the back sheet off.

Easy to apply...looks great...sturdy material...provides complete privacy. For those of you who want garage door windows but don't want anyone looking in your garage I have included a photo of how it looks on the garage windows. I used the black window film for 100% privacy. The door on the left has the film on the glass and the door on the right has not been applied yet. Can't see the difference!

I ordered this product to Blacken out the back part of my room, I'm tinted windows in the past so I'm fairly good at cutting the patterns properly, after placement and cutting it down it fit exactly but over the last few days the material appears to had shrink a little bit and now I have successive amount of bleed over light. I laid the material out flat for a day to allow it to be straight and acclimate before fitting and cutting. But the heat generated against the window has allowed the film to shrink down. Definitely not good.

Product was relatively easy to install, although there was some learning curve involved, and the instructions were less than helpful. Leave an allowance of 1/4 inch all on all borders as product seems to shrink once applied. Biggest disappointment however is that it is not truly blackout- meaning light does come through. If you’re a night-time sleeper and have curtains, and you’re trying to block ambient light, this will work just fine. If you’re a night shifter, day-time sleeper, or need to block light from a direct source like a flood light, this is not the best product. It diffuses light, but does not completely block it. I will make it work with blackout curtains because I don’t want to remove this and try something else, but would not purchase again.

Love it! It’s thick and durable. You cannot put it on while the windows are cold or else. It does not stick it. It’s easy to cut and easy to stick on not sure about removal but application was great and so are the results.

I was not expecting it to be this good. The bubbles were very, very easy to flatten out. Just take a hard covered small book to flatten the bubbles.. from the outside, it almost looks black and reflective. But not too reflective. From the inside, it has a very mat black appearance. I’m not perfect at installing this. I had to piece and cut it together and it looks sloppy BUT you can’t tell with the blinds down and from the outside. I just used windex to apply it and I stuck it on. It’s static film .. loves it.Only thing is that this one window took 1 roll. And there’s still a little left on top .. so you need at least 3/4 if you are covering multiple windows
