Why do our water-based fire extinguishers work for grease and electrical fires?

It is small but for now I can’t afford something bigger, so far I haven’t had the need to use it thank goodness. But is importan to have one even if it’s small, it’s good for the money I spent. Also is easy to use .

Not for use in kitchen if oil or grease fire even though as advertised. Water based makes it splash everywhere! All the chemicals will eat your cabinets and finish!!! NOT RETURNABLE

Put on walls in laundry and kitchen. Haven't had to use yet so can't speak on them much. Looks easy to use. Only drawback is package delayed during cold weather. Both of them looked like a little of the stuff sealed out as there was small amount of white foamy stuff on them.

My primary form of home heating is a wood-burning stove, so having fire extinguisher on hand is critically important for me. I recently realized that my existing fire extinguisher has a "use or dispose by" date of 2009 on it ... so yeah, figured it was probably a good idea to get a new extinguisher!I like how compact this one is, and the mounting bracket is very handy and well designed. As other reviewers have pointed out, the instructions state to "puncture" the can before disposing - which is a terrible no good idea. Don't do that. Instead, should you ever need to dispose of an old extinguisher (like my ancient one that this replaces), contact your local fire department and ask them about safe disposal. My fire department encourages us to bring old and/or used extinguishers to the station for them to safely dispose of, which is exactly what I did with my old one.Here's hoping I never need to use this!

I ordered 8 of these, two came with partial discharge. After weighing them, the discharged amount is minimal and should still have enough product to be effective. There is no way to just send the seller feedback without asking for a return/replacement.

I bought this fire extinguisher for piece of mind to have around the house or backyard just in case. It has a great compact size and doesn’t take up too much space and comes with a little wall holder. The instructions are pretty clear and are on both a manual that comes with it as well as on the fire extinguisher itself. It is water based and supposedly works for most types of fires that can occur around the house or car. I like having it around the house for piece of mind. It’s a great value compared to other products I researched.
