This is a really nice looking, really high quality hose coupler. It is made of genuine brass. The casting looks nice. The machining looks great. It’s just really a shame that at some point after all of that craftsmanship was put into it, somehow the threads became all mangled. The coupler still threads together, so it still works fine, it’s just a bit chunky while doing so.The current price of $39.99 seems a bit high for something that’s going to arrive damaged out of the box. Considering I’m not the only one to experience this, I don’t think this is a one off experience, and I’m willing to bet that the others arrive in a similar condition.

The adapter seems to be cast and then machined to form threads. The quality is good, and it feels like no brass was spared to make it.The outer and the inner threads have quite a few dings in them, which did not prevent me from using the adapter, but I wish that the thread was smoother.
