I purchased this when I got my fireplace cleaned out and it was the best purchase! It protects the back wall of your fireplace AND It actually generates the heat from the fire out making our living room nice and warm on a cold winter day. And it is made out of a thick and heavy cast iron. A must have if you like to use your fireplace every day like we do!

I’ve had this fireplace back for just over a month. I notice the difference once I get a really good fire going, and the hot coals are built up. The other area I noticed a difference is after the fire dies down. The fireback continues to emanate heat much longer than if there was nothing there.

The foot could be taller so it actually volleys heat back out towards the front of the fireplace.

This fireback does exactly what it's supposed to do. It definitely reflects the heat out of the fireplace. And it looks cool too. Kinda gives off medieval vibes. Definitely worth the purchase.

Helps radiate heat back into the room and working as designed. I don't care for the ugly design but for the price I will deal with it for now

We have a large outdoor fireplace and I thought this would be a great addition to it so it could throw some more heat out. It is very heavy and the sun detail is nice. It was nicked on the top and was silver underneath the back finish. Ideally, this fitting across the entire back of the fireplace would be nice but our fireplace is much taller than this- I actually think a lot of fireplaces would be- and they didn't have a larger size option. I find it doesn't do a lot in throwing out more heat but does look nice against the back wall of basic firebricks. I'll be on the lookout for a large size, if your fireplace is smaller, this could work for you.

Heavy fireplace insert. Definitely looks so much nicer than looking at the old burnt up bricks. The insert reflects heat so very well. A noticeable difference in the heat output.
