Solid piece but does not work with our grill - too thick. Measure - and repeat before buying.

It works as described, I didn't realize it until after I made the purchase that maybe I should have purchased the one with the sleeve, but I didn't so this one is going to be ok to.

From looking at the product picture I was pretty much skeptical whether this would work with my Weber - but it works. So much better than the one delivered with the grill.
