This extension cord uses 6/3 gauge wires for the hot and neutral terminals. This makes it suitable for 50 amp circuits. The cord is about as thick as a garden hose. It is heavy, as to be expected, given the gauge of the wire used. A carrying handle is included and makes it easy to lug around. The quality of this extension cord appears to be very good. The handle on the 14-50P end makes it easy to plug into and remove from the outlet. The plug remains firmly in the outlet and I have no worries about it falling off.Make sure to check your requirements before purchasing a 240 volt extension cord. First of all, the amperage rating should match the amperage of the circuit you're plugging into. Also, there are various types of 240 volt outlets. The one I got is made to plug into NEMA 14-50R outlets. You can search the internet for the different outlet configurations.

Overall this extension is of good construction, but the end plugs are made of soft silicone construction, which have to be due to the clearness needed to have power present indicators.

The electrical cable that came with my RV quickly came apart where the plug meets the cord. I have been taping it and re-keeping it for quite a while, but finally got tired of doing that and got this one. This seems of much better quality! I especially like that it is reinforced with thick rubber/plastic at the place that my old one failed. It does not get hot while operating, and I think this one will last for a good long time.

If you have an EV, travel trailer or any other device that uses this plug I would recommend it. The 15’ cord is perfect for me. I like to have a couple extra laying around. The cord functions as described and I’m happy with it. Enjoy!
