I've used this thermal suit to ride my scooter during the winter. I live in southern Ohio and have worn the suit and temperatures in the twenties and had no problems with keeping warm. It's very comfortable and I had no problems with maneuvering while riding my bike. it has a high nice collar that keeps the neck warm even when without using a scarf. The straps on the cuffs do a good job Preventing cold air from entering the suit. The cuffs around the ankles are elastic and provide a decent amount of protection from cold air. All areas of the suit where there are zippers seem to stay secure and warm. So far I've only experienced a few problems which I will go through and detail however even with these issues I would still buy the suit again. so there's three major problems I've had with the suit. The first problem is that there is no texture in the butt region of the suit. Depending on the surface you're sitting on it can actually feel quite slick and sometimes feels like you can slip off if you turn too sharply or stop too quickly. The other problem with the suit is the bulk. The suit will increase your overall profile and may make using mirrors difficult. I've tried to adjust mirrors while wearing the suit and still have difficulty seeing Vehicles behind me. The last problem is only an issue if you plan on wearing a jacket underneath. I don't like wearing a heavy jacket underneath my suit mainly because it feels incredibly tight around the shoulders and makes getting in the suit much harder. It might be fine if you buy one a size larger but I would probably recommend trying to find a location to try one on first to see if you like the fit.

There was an initial mix up with the order and communications. After waiting a few days after the expected arrival of the item I inquired to Amazon about the order status and it was forwarded to Firstgear. Firstgear responded immediately. Seems that they tried to directly contact me earlier and my spam filter must have killed the message. The order had been delayed because their manufacturing source informed them about a possible malfunction with the main zipper so they recalled the package. They offered me an additional 10% off if I wish to continure with the order or a full refund if I wanted to cancel. I decided to accept the 10% refund and within the week the suit arrived.I stand at 6'4" and weight in at 320 lbs. I was a little apprehensive as to how "snug" the suit would fit and if I could have it expanded easily. I tried on the suit and was well pleased with how well the 2x fit. Very roomy in both the waist and crotch area, long enough in the legs to cover the upper part of my boot, and wide enough at the shoulder. I can easily wear a set of clothes underneath without having to worry about "crowding". As for warmth; I put the suit on and put a cot on the front porch and laid down. This was at night and the weather was low 30s. It kept me warm enough. I had to vent the suit several times to left out the excess heat. When I rode with it the weather was in the mid to high 30s; the suit did remarkably well. What the suit covered stayed warm. The suit has the frontal zipper which is easy to manipulate with gloves on and the leg zippers comes all the way up to the waist, making getting in and out of it with the boots on a snap. I can suit up with it in less than two minutes. All and all I am well pleased with it and recommend it to anyone who is thinking of getting a warm suit; even over getting a heated suit.I look forward to trading with the merchant in the future.

This is more like a snow mobile suit. I got this and was very surprised of the insulation! it's a nice suit and all but much to warm for our part of the country.

The good, the bad and the ugly! Let’s get right to the good or rather should as say GREAT. I commute 25 miles one way in the heart of Green Country Oklahoma where the wind really does go whipping down the plains. So far I’ve braved upper 30’s and lower 40’ traveling at up to 70 miles an hour and the suit has performed well beyond my expectations! Short of my mistake in securing my cuffs and allowing a rather brisk draft, I have enjoyed a comfortable drive with no cold penetration. The suit has both the crotch to Adam’s apple zipper as well as ankle to upper calf zippers covered by Velcro flaps to eliminate cold air penetration. The ankle zippers allow even large riding boots to easily pass through an more than adequately keep out the cold. Large external pockets hold those immediate need items and the neck closure works just as well as the other extremities. I would definitely recommend the suit for your cold weather rides. So now for the ugly. Two days after my initial order, I received a notification that my order had been canceled by none other than ME! I contacted the vendor who indicated that there was a “error†with the order fulfillment system and that my order would be promptly shipped. To say the least I ended up reordering the suit myself. When my order arrived, I ended up with a XX Large rather than the X Large I had originally ordered. So if you don’t mind not getting what you ordered, go ahead and take a chance with this vendor. If you are looking for a great cold weather riding suit go ahead and give this on a try!
