These would work for the intended purpose - holding fishing rods down, or similar light duty strapping. But they are not general replacements for bungee cords of similar size. They are less stretchy and far less elastic. They don't pull back much when you stretch them out. The nifty kit comes with 4 each sollid rubber cords, plastic hook ends, plastic screw down ends, and deck eyelets, and SS screws. It should be weatherproof. You can cut the rubber cords to length, and it is pretty easy to assemble the ends. Max length from hook to screw hole when assembled in a bit over 19". But you can't stretch it more than about 4 or 5 additional inches before the rubber thins out so much it seems in danger of breaking, the the pull back force is small. Definitely useful, but limited for very light duty tasks.

I'm not a fisherman but these tie down can be used elsewhere. Inside of my pressure washing trailer there are small items such as spray bottles that I have to secure while I traveling from job to job. So far they have worked great for this situation.

Good for keeping your rods readily available and not fly away when at speed. I do like the fact you can size the length of the straps. One thing I don't like is the plastic eyelets, I was hoping there were SS colored black. In any event they are still good rod tie downs and I will be using them in addition to the ones that already came installed in my boat.

These are the real deal. We all know the rubber won't last forever but these have adjustable ends so any length is possible. I don't need the normal long ones that you get from the other stores. Packaged in a nice hard case that I repurposed by adding some foam and use for a jig case. Good tie downs for sure.

Well designed kit with anchor points and hooks included plus hardware to attach the anchor points. This can be used for hundreds of applications where a bungee cord is required. Not a bungee but much much better. Highly recommended!
