Pros:This is a terrific product. I use it mainly for weeding and pruning; keeping my cellphone, a bottle of water, my weeder and pruner in the caddy while throwing the weeds into the center of the bucket for later disposal. I don't do a lot of gardening, all my plants are planted and set and I spend maybe a couple hours a week doing general maintenance. This is perfect for that. For heavy tools, you'll want to get a caddy designed for that purpose, such as the Bucket Boss. This Garden Caddy is very very clever and handy, and designed specifically for gardening purposes. I love it.Some minor, minor concerns:1. The strap is velcro. The product description mentions a "lock-and-loop fastener" but perhaps that was an earlier version? Unless "lock-and-loop" is code for velcro. This is a concern for me because velcro doesn't work too well when muddy, or old, and if I have heavy items I'm worried it might not hold. However, I've given the caddy a few good tugs and even left it hanging overnight with some very heavy items attached and it seems to hold very well. So until I see otherwise, the velcro is probably fine, especially since I won't be buckling and unbuckling it often.2. None of the compartments are elastic. There are enough compartments of different sizes that this isn't a problem for me, but I would've liked to see one or two that stretch so my kneepads aren't such a tight-fit. Still, it's not like I actually need an elastic compartment, so maybe I'm being picky. Some notes:This only fits a 5-gallon bucket. The bucket is not included. A bucket will cost you $3 - $6 at your local hardware store, though if you have one lying around from a paint job, or even your CostCo laundry detergent, it'll fit.Overall, this is an extremely useful tool, perfect for light-gardening. The price is low (on occasion you'll see it as low as 5 bucks at local stores, but I wouldn't hassle over the 2.50 here as you'll want to get this asap, it's that handy). 5 Stars for a well-thought-out product!

The thought that went into the design of this makes it very useful. You may not appreciate it until you actually attach it to a bucket that there are well designed gaps to allow it to be mounted on buckets of different circumstances to factor for different placement of bucket handles. There are plenty of pockets for tools and a water bottle as well as a key chain. It's been holding up well and I use it multiple times per week. It's retained it's color and hasn't been stretched out by use.I had one of these for tools built by a tool manufacturer but this one seems more functional and purpose built it makes trips to the community garden easier. I store fertilizer/ soil amendments/spray bottles in the bucket, and trowels, utility knives, pruning shears, and garden snips in the outer pockets. There are pockets of various sizes to hold my cell phone, water bottle and blue tooth speaker, and of course the key clip. I don't have a key chain so I've put measuring spoons for fertilizer and amendments on the clip.I keep tomato clips/ties on the bucket handle so they are always on hand.I bought this for myself but if you know a new gardener or someone in a community garden this is a great small gift idea. Not that I care , but additional color options would be nice. I could see how someone in a community garden could get buckets mixed up ... so choose a unique bucket color. (You may want to add a small drain hole in your bucket depending on if you use it .. ex you leave it out in the rain or spray your bucket with the hose by mistake)I don't plan to but I'd imagine you can easily put it in a wash machine (or a sink) if it's really a mess since its quite durable nylon.

I am relatively new to gardening and only had 2 old, cheap tools that I used to pot indoor plants. When I started vegetable container gardening, I quickly found that my old tools were not going to cut it, so I got myself a nice set of Fiskars tools. I then needed something to hold them and carry them in when I went back and forth to the garden, so I found this bucket caddy.I already had 5-gallon buckets as that is what I use for container gardening. It is tricky getting the caddy on right the first time. I found it easiest to lift the handle of the bucket up and then put the caddy on, being sure to align the openings on both sides of the caddy with the sides of the bucket where the handle connects. If you don't do this, you won't be able to use the bucket's handle, which kind of defeats the purpose of being able to carry your tools to the garden! Even after going through this process a few times, I still haven't mastered it, but I did at least get a tight fit of the caddy's "belt" onto the rim of the bucket. The handle is pretty much locked in the upright position, but that's okay with me because it makes it easier to grab it and go to the garden. There are loads of pockets of all sizes. They fit everything from my big round composite soil scoop () to a small pair of scissors I use for opening bags of soil and such. The caddy fits my Fiskars garden tools set plus several extra tools and there is still plenty of room for more. The material the caddy is made from appears quite heavy duty but, since mine is still pretty new, I can't speak yet to how well it will hold up over time. You might want to complete your bucket and caddy with a bucket seat (), as I did. I had hoped for it to be more flexible for comfort, but it is still great to be able to sit on the bucket and have your tools right under you so you can both reach for whatever you need and also easily put away what you're done with.Definitely recommend this Garden Bucket Caddy.

Keeps my garden tools handy as I'm working. No more running back and forth to the shed for something else I need. Super idea.
