It's lighter alternative to the bulkier more traditional binders ad it is also super compact, which makes it easy for him to carry around in his backpack without WEIGHING it down.Easy to use. I purchased to keep track of legal papers for my ailing father. Zips all the way around to keep papers secure. You can put a full 8 1/2 x 11 pad of paper lots of compartments to put other important medical cards, business cards etc pens. Highly recommend.
