The largest sized spacer in the pack worked great, but the next size down was too much of a difference in size and I was not able to control it well enough to prevent damage to the cutter. I had to take it to a professional. Were I to try this again, I would need to source a bearing that would be 2nd largest.There was two of the same size in the pack so they could have provided an alternate size.

Bought this rabbet bit set as rabbet router bits are strangely absent from big box stores.Versatile because of multiple bearings.Bearingsare lightly made so be gentle with them.Caveat, fly cutter may be wider than the hole in the shoe plate of your router.All in all a ood tool and a good value.

I'm a retired cabinet maker and I love good tools. I needed a rabbet router bit for a project on my house so I looked for one and saw that some were very pricey. I saw this Fivepears product for a very reasonable price and thought that I would order it and see if it was any good. When it arrived I was pleased to see that it came with protective cases for the bit and the bearings. As you can see in the photos it makes a clean cut with no tear out in a select pine board.

The cutter blades are very sharp and the bit makes perfect rabbet edges. The wide assortment of stops that come with the bit allow you to cut virtually any width.Perfect for framing, panel inserts and ano other application where smooth rabbets are a must

Router bit works well. My only complaint is the small socket head screw was so tight on the bit, the supplied allen wrench would not turn the screw. In order to loosen to change bearing, I had to put vise grips on screw to loosen. Luckly, I have other bits and other screws. Plus I do not thing the supplied allen wrench was correct size, it work great on the bearing holder, but was a bit loose on the router bit screw.

Works very well, cuts surprisingly smooth rabbets extremely efficiently. The only thing to be aware of is that the bearings are not very accurately sized. Use them as a guide to get an approximate setting for your router table's fence, then adjust the fence for fine tuning. For that reason I would never recommend using this but without a router table.
