The candle set with gray glass look extremely realistic versus the other two options; the flames flicker and look life-like. The included remote allows for setting at timer and if you would like the lights to flicker or not. While other LED candles "flames" are on the yellow side, the light these emit looks more realistic and white. The battery life is average for these types of candles and you can purchase rechargeable batteries if you'd like to avoid single use versions. In terms of build quality, these LED candles are made with a wax like material on the surface and real glass; they are a good value for the price. I recommend these candles as a way to add a bit of light to any space; especially when a flame isn't an option. I love this three piece set of plastic realistic looking candles that come in a variety of colors and a ready to use remote! I love the variety of sizes too! My picture displays only two because the third candle is placed in my toddlers room as a night light and dare I go in there and wake him? Anyway...these take two AA batteries that don't drain quickly and are easy to change without unscrewing difficult hardware. The remote comes with setting buttons such as on/off, 2/4/6/8 hr automatic shut off, brightness adjustment, and an option for a steady or flickering flame. These work well! This is a great gift idea and for a really reasonable price! I love that I can turn them on and off with the remote or even just push the timer button for automatic turn off so that I don't have to remind myself! No more manually turning my candles off before bed because who has time for that? Did I mention that they will turn off on their own? Okay, just checking! There is no need to click the on/off switch located on the bottom of the candle unless you want to do it manually or misplace the remote. This set is durable and will not break easily as tested by my toddler who likes to grab them and throw them! No worries if you lose or accidentally break the remote because there are options to purchase a replacement on Amazon as well! Highly recommended!

I received my battery operated candles. Love the candle look without the caution of falling asleep and leaving it burning. Having the remote option is nice, which requires no batteries and simple to operate. I can make it steady or candle like flaming. The lowest time setting is two hours I won't do that long I really like the look but don't want to run out my batteries.I'm using it for my Christmas display and really like the look. Price was reasonably priced too.

This is the second set I've bought (last being the darker charcoal shade). These are absolutely beautiful and very warm in color. I think next time I'll also get the white ones. The quality is high, they're sturdy but they're also light weight.The remote is small and works well as great distances and I love the timer option on there! I wanted to add that the best batteries to use in these are the red alkaline batteries from dollar tree and last for months and months.Definitely recommend!

My favorite amazon purchase in a long time! Comes with a remote. You can set it to turn off and on and in different intensities. Gorgeous to look at......nice quality and lighting options. Perfect size. So happy I purchased.

Update: I have bought 2 sets of these candles and have had them for several months now, as much as I love these candles I had to change the rating down to 3 stars because both sets will automatically come on by themselves without me turning them on and it happens every single day like they are on a timer to come on at a specific time but I have not set these on a timer nor do I know how to do that the remote only has preset times like 2/4/8 hours where the candles will turn off automatically at the preset time you choose. It's driving me nuts and if I don't catch the candles when they turn on by themselves and turn them off then they stay on and run down the batteries!!I really like these candles they are safe and look nice comes with a remote and I like you can set the time for the candles to turn off so you are not wasting battery life. Each candle takes 2 double AA batteries which they do not come with batteries. These candles will also come in handy when the power goes out. I am going to order another set for my bedroom to use when watching tv and I don't want to be in a complete dark room nor do I want a lamp on and I can set the timer for them to go off after I fall asleep. Also the price for all three of the candles well you can't beat it.
