1. Clean the tool after use, and keep the eccentric cone clean.
2. Lubricate the fixing rod and handle with engine oil.
3. Make sure to frequently lubricate the yoke's bearing and handle connection/screws with engine oil.

I've never flared copper pipe before owning this tool. I watched a video or two on how it's done and then bought this tool. I was prepared to have to make several practice flares before getting proficient. Not with this tool. Paired with a Wisamic brand deburring tool, every flare I made was perfect from the get go. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. The included pipe cutter is extremely nice and lightyears better than the two box store cutters I already had on hand. It's big though and won't work well in tight spaces.Very easy to use, great flares, and seems like very nice quality. I feel like it was worth the extra expense over a cheaper tool. Comes with clamps for metric and SAE pipes too, which is a nice touch.Note: I bought a different type of deburring tool (this kit does come with one) because I had several recommendations to NOT use the type of deburring tool included with the kit.

I am just a homeowner and not a professional. I have been using an old non-eccentric flaring tool for years. It may be 40 years old. Recently I was talking to one of my contractors and saw his Yellow Jacket flaring tool. I didn't know about eccentric flaring tools, and he told me that the Yellow Jacket is the best, but that a lot of the Chinese manufacturers are making them just as good for far less money.I found this Jesskit set on Amazon and ordered it. When it came in I showed him and we compared them. He was very impressed with it. We flared a few different sized copper pipes with his Yellow Jacket and my new Jesskit. The Jesskit did a better, smoother flare than his Yellow Jacket. The Jesskit is half the price of the Yellow Jacket, comes with more tools, and a nice blow-molded case. He liked it so much that he ordered a new Jesskit for himself.
