These are styled after the original design. Still maintain the rigid and versatile cold shoe holding for stands. Has the umbrella portal, was the hard metal male and female attachments. Not Aluminum or plastic. But an extra pair for later in life as your photography needs grow.No I did not get mine for any prompted review. I bought them just like you, four of them. I would buy them again.

I ordered two of these beauties to mount my flashes on my new light stands. I had built some of those PVC DIY lightbox stands you can find all over Youtube and the web. Problem is the DIY stands are not adjustable, and you cannot adjust the softbox angle at all, so I needed to move to real stands with adjustable heights.These adapters are just amazing and they are solid metal. I opted for metal over the cheaper plastic ones, which were about half the price. These adapters are heavy and they stay in place when I set them into position on the light stands. For the first time, I was able to mount a flash and umbrella to an adjustable stand because these adapters made it all possible.I could not be happier with them right now and I will be ordering more for my new stands that I am ordering soon. If you are trying to decide on the price difference between these metal ones and cheap plastic ones, go with these metal ones. The only plastic on them is the black knobs.

I was very impressed with the quality build of this flash bracket. The body is all metal and the knobs are a very strong, heavy duty plastic and polished metal. It comes with all of the hardware adapters necessary to attach it to a tripod or light-stand. The umbrella mounts in the lower bracket so it can be tilted separately from the flash unit allowing precise focusing on the center of the umbrella. This is the only bracket that I have found that allows you to do this. The price is very reasonable for what you get and I highly recommend it!

It is metal made. Strong. Heavy. I am not a professional, probably will outlive me. The machining is poor. The paint can be scratched away with the fingernail. I don't care because it does the job very well. And the price is excellent for the quality.I do recommend for amateurs. Pros should consider something engineered better, or if only functionality matters go for it.I would buy again.

These come in handy. I believe I have a total of 4 or 5 of them. Sometimes I don’t have the space nor time to setup a whole c-stand w/ boom arm so I was happy to find something slightly similar that would give me a decent range of adjustability. These are heavy duty and pair well with my COLBOR CL series lights and there’s even a whole for an umbrella. You can’t beat these for the price!

I bought this with intentions of using it often. It's one of those things that comes in handy when you need it. Every now and again I'll think about the gear I need on specific gigs and it's good to know I have this in a pinch.It really provides maneuverability in whatever you mount on top of it. For me it's usually a flash.

I had been using a hotshoe adapter for my off-camera speedlights, which was not working well, as the bolt loosened easily so the speedlight and remote trigger kept sliding off. I decided to try an adapter that was screw mount (since I now own two trigger and two speedlights with broken hotshoes) to see if it worked better. This mount is very flexible, with reversible and removable inserts on both the light stand and speedlight ends. It was easy to figure out and get mounted. Best of all, my speedlights and remote triggers stay on the light stand instead of randomly sliding off the mount. I recommend this mount to any photographer who is using speedlights on-location.
