  • Used for installing fiberglass screen mesh into aluminum screen frames, garden screens, patio enclosures, porch screens, sliding doors, patio doors, storm doors, and pool screen.

This flat screen spline is constructed from vinyl and comes in black color. The spline measures 0.290” wide x .08” thick x 100 ft. long. It is used for installing fiberglass screen mesh into aluminum screen frames. This type of screen spline is installed by laying it flat into the spline channel (over the fiberglass screen mesh) and inserting the inner edge of the screen spline under the lip of the screen frame. The spline can then be rolled in along the outer edge of the screen spline. Spline is flexible and works easily into the screen frame channel to hold the screen mesh securely

40% less than the big box home improvement centers offer. I found this product easier to use on our pool enclosure.

Used this to repair my pool screen. Easy to use and was a great price compared to the local Hardware stores.

The spline works great for patio screens. With the window screen (wheel) tool it is easy to install and getting the screen tight.

I haven't had to replace any screens at my house in a dozen years, so I am no expert. In fact, when I ordered this, I didn't notice it was flat spline, because I didn't know there was more than one kind of spline. I noticed how wide it is and thought it must be too big for my screens, but in fact, since it's flat, it is on the too small side. I had issues getting it to hold in place, as it wants to flip and twist as you apply it and roll over it. I was eventually able to get a short stretch in place that seems to be holding well. But I would have prefered round spline. These troubles may all be my lack of skill or understanding of what type of screen you secure with flat spline, but I remember having little trouble doing this years ago with round spline.
