Perfect fit for my Fleck brine tank. Mounting screw matched up with the factory hole in the tank and came with the ferrels and compression nuts for the supply and overflow lines. Everything just worked - and that's a good thing. A ten minute job - tops. Two thumbs up.

The valve appears to function properly but does not shutoff the flow. It took a while to figure out but when the float rises to cut off the water, it continues to drip and overfill the salt tank.Amazon allows only 30 days for a return. Is there no way to return a defective device for credit?

I bought this to limit my salt usage...even tho i have the salt set to 6lbs, the water level was higher than 3 or 4 gallon in the brine tank...I added this with my air check valve stem for suction and a 3/8" hdpe tube bought at HD for $1.67, and added a styrofoam 2" dia float to the 3/8 tube, set for about 3 gallons....this will override whatever you set the softener to use for salt...great addition.

The new valve fit in the same spot as the old brass valve without altering the mounting holes. The water in the brine tank shut off like a toilet float when the proper height was reached. Just cut some off you softener lines for a fresh end for the new compression fittings. No leaks and would buy again. The old float fit right in without any issues.
