I tried 3 different X280 replacement touchpads on Amazon after my original one started malfunctioning. The first one was recognized by my laptop but did not work, because it was the NFC model which my laptop is not spec'd for. The listing on the Amazon page never said it was NFC. The second one I tried was non-NFC, but apparently it wasn't genuine Lenovo because the laptop refused to recognize it (BIOS gave "mouse not found" error) and it only partially worked once in Windows. Single finger movements worked but none of the gesture control or taps worked. Very annoying. This specific unit was my 3rd and last try, and it works flawlessly. Bonus points for including a spudge and a small screwdriver in the package which the other two didn't, to help users replace their touchpads if they don't already have their own tools. This unit was detected by the laptop and works in gesture control on Windows 11. All I had to do was uninstall the existing Synaptics driver from Device Manager and reboot allowing Win11 to detect and reinstall the exact firmware and driver needed for this device. The touchpad surface is a little rougher than OE and certainly not "glass" smooth like an Apple MacBook, but it has restored life back into my little old ThinkPad that I desperately did not want to replace yet.
