The number one complaint I've always had with my kitchen aid was the fact alot was left on the bowl sides and the bottom was not always mixed. Like someone else mentioned my original paddle was also chipping. I thought I should replace it, for safety reasons. Why did I wait so long! Before washing it, I tried it on the mixer. It seemed a little tight but it did work. Later that evening I tried it to make a cake. It worked wonderfully! Scraped the sides and mixed up the eggs!So glad I've added it to my kitchen tools! Can't comment on the durability yet since I just got it.

I was never happy with the Kitchen Aid mixer attachment that came with it. It didn’t reach the sides of the inner surface of the stainless steel bowl that came with it. Kitchen Aid has since come out with an attachment that has an added rubber/silicone edge that reaches the bowl for improved mixing. Their prices are beyond ridiculous for attachments. This “no name†brand attachment works very well, is well made and is much cheaper than the brand name. I highly recommend this attachment for anyone who wants their stand mixer to do a better job of reaching the inside surface of the bowl. This latest model should replace the original mixer attachment that came with the mixer and the original one should be removed from the market. The price of the mixer is costly so Kitchen Aid should at least provide its customers with attachments that work effectively. This is a great substitute for the name brand and is very affordable.

Such an improvement over the standard Kitchen-Aid one. Really helps to scrape the sides and bring your dough or batter down into the bowl for mixing. Easy to clean too.

Always dubious when non genuine parts are advertised as "will fit.....". But in this case, it did! The genuine paddle has silicon on one side only, this one has it on both. It does mean anything you are mixing, creaming butter and sugar, it pushes the mixture to above the paddle line so I'll try taking one side off. But other than that? Really well made and soooooo much cheaper than the genuine parts!
