About this item

  • Transfer the exact curves from a pattern, work piece or product to a new project with less effort and better accuracy
  • Lock the adjustable knobs to ensure exact curve reproduction before transferring the pattern
  • Eliminates annoying "creeping" common with other transfer devices and is Ideal for metal, wood, leather and fabric applications; great for auto body applications too.
  • Solid steel construction makes the Flexible Curve Template ideal to execute duplication of both simple and Complex curves.
  • For easy, quick and precise shape transfer; durable construction ensures maximum durability

The Peachtree Flexible Curve Template allows for the precise duplication and transfer of complicated and/or compound curves from patterns or work pieces. Simply Align the curve template to the curve that you wish to transfer, and then tighten the template's handy locking knobs all along the spine of that curve; the curve will hold in the template which will then allow you to transfer the pattern to whatever material you are working on. Locking the knobs eliminates any movement or “creeping” that typically happens with other pattern transfer devices. This process is ideal for perfect shape matching. Maximum bendability allows for a wide array of replicable shapes. Ideal for use with metal, wood, plastic, leather and fabric, etc. Innovative, effective, and so simple to use!

Works like a charm. To match the s-curve of a table leg I am reproducing in wood, I held the template steel strip tight to the leg at one end & tightenen the adjacent knob. Worked my way along the leg repeating for each knob. I could then trace the curve on a jig to steam-bend the legs.

we bought this to help cut walls for the curved ceiling shape of our skoolie (bus RV) build. It was shockingly easy to use and we wish we had ordered it earlier in the building process!

Bought this to template curves for retrofitting school handrails to ADA standards. Most of the buildings were built in the 1930's with either plaster coated CMU or poured concrete walls. After over 80 years of moderately heavy use, these buildings are still in very good condition. This tool has been invaluable in our determining radii and diameters for fabrication of new handrails. Only challenge is when trying to operate off the floor, two sets of hands are required to hold the tool and tighten the knobs without the whole thing flopping around. Not sure how to fix this problem. Since the measuring of these stairs is a two-man job, this hasn't been an issue. It works well and holds the round shape when knobs are snugged up. Would give 5 stars if the tool would work as a one-man doo-hickey.

I was happy with the material the template is made out of. I thought it was going to be thin and not last long. Going to be a tool in my shop for years

My last three steps on stairs are curved. I have always wanted to tear out carpet and install wood treads so glad I found this thing! Easy to use. Not a pro carpenter but with this the job was much easier.

Initially, I ordered the flex curve hoping it might make a particular job (tracing the curve of a boat's hull to make and then install a bulkhead) easier, offering a guide that would need less tweaking than the traditional method. In fact, the device did the job with precision, saving time and money and frustration. It's much more responsive to compound curves than I expected and now employ it to transfer a curved shape, as well as using it to draw curves.

Not for making arch window patterns

The tools is still new to me. It seems solid and well made. Due to the distance of the fasteners and the way the steel responds to bending it is not super precise, but definitely precise enough to get the job done.

We use it to gauge contours on corrugated sheets when we curve them for houses or businesses. Can't live without it.
