I don’t provide many reviews but this is worth the time. We’ve had several dog life jackets but this one is the best by far. It’s well worth the extra price. Great fit—large for our golden and med-wide for our stocky terrier mix. And they both love them.

We ordered this vest for a Pekingese after trying others that all had velcro which was a complete nightmare with the hair getting stuck and causing discomfort for the pooch. We first ordered the small size after measuring our dog's dimensions but the fit was wrong because of the Pekingese build and it was too confining at the throat. We discussed this with their customer service that was so willing to work with us to get the fit right! They were even willing to make personal adjustments, if needed! WOW, who does that anymore? This company has your dog's welfare in mind. Luckily we did not need that adjustment after ordering the "small wide" instead. Now it allows the vest to fit lower at the chest when tightened snugly around the body with the straps. This is a well made vest that should last for years and provide safety and security to our pet when visiting lakes and waterways. You should consider this vest even if your dog does not have the long hair ours does!

Our little golden doodle Luna loves her life jacket. super easy to put on and fits much nicer than any other life jacket. she is already over 50lbs and we can pick her up comfortably with the handle. it provided enough flotation that she swam so comfortably that she was able to eat the water from her doggy paddle splashes. Even though this is on the higher end of price point for life jackets, We are SUPER happy with this purchase and would do it again.

He's a strong swimmer but we are taking him sailing with us and I wanted some piece of mind in case he falls overboard. We also needed something with a sturdy handle to pick his nearby 90 lb butt up into the boat. I think thos will do well and happy I went with the more expensive version rather than the other $20-30 options.It fits him well - picked the size based on the size chart.I'm a little concerned that it might rub his armpits a little bit but I don't plan on having it on him for too long at a time. Just something I'll watch.Overall, very well put together and would buy it again if needed.

Amazingly my dog didn’t mind it. First time in the water. I love the fact that it slipped over his head with chest support that wrapped up to the back. Has a great handle to grab him or help lift him up. He did step off the boat, went under water, but the life vest did it’s job lifted him back up to top of water so we could grab his vest handle. He was scared (me too), but he learned that the life vest helped him float. So he was willing to go in again and swim! So glad I spent a little more for the peace of mind that it did it’s job!!

We love it. We get lots of compliments on the way it looks on him. Works great to keep him afloat which gives him confidence. Love that it has padding along chest and stomach. It is flexible and gives plenty of room for him to move his legs when running and jumping. Couple of tips.. measure twice. Make sure your neck size is correct as it is not adjustable like the rest of the jacket. Only thing I would add would be a couple of wide velcro straps across the belly through a flat loop. This would hold sides of the top part snug under the belly padding..

The fit Is good, flotation does give additional buoyancy, the only reason i gave 4 stars is because the buckets did show signs of slippage. I recommend that you fit it to the dog you bought it for and then sew the buckles in place to prevent slipage..
