Bought this float for our water tubs on our beef farm. They work great. They are smaller than the traditional float so the cow can not reach it. Stays in place and functions as it should. Water flow is great and the valve is adjustable. Very easy to install.

We bought two of these floats. Both leaked from the beginning at installation. The design incorporates an inherent weakness--you cannot torque the main body of the float to it's own 90 degree fitting. The press-fit design is poorly seated, so the only way to compensate for this is to use excessive tape at the fitting itself. There is a point where the body of the float just strips itself. One of the floats on our 250 gallon tank eventually sealed from calcification and is still in service. This was at a higher elevation than the one on our 500 gallon tank, (which has more pressure). It's been a mess since it was installed. I wouldn't waste the money on this float. We will not be purchasing any other products from this manufacturer.

This valve works well enough. I hang it over the edge of 5 gallon pails we use for garden water. I used to just drop the house in the bucket and haul two other pails to the back of the yard (we're on 5 acres) the water would inevitably be long overrun, even on a slow rate of flow. This product sure the water of very well, but it takes close to 10 min to fill 5 US gallons of water. A faster flow rate would be a big improvement!

I used them for refilling water for the deer on our ranch. It makes it so much easier to use instead of having to fill it every time we go out there. We have a 250-gallon container we filled up and just ran a water hole in the device and it works great.

As stated in the title. The shut off valve works great but the elbow that comes with it does not screw on properly and you can’t get it right without tearing up the bottom valve part. I tried using a bunch of teflon tape but as soon as the valve shuts off and pressure builds up behind the valve the connections start leaking at the elbow. If I can get some proper plumbing pieces I may be able to use it. Good luck with yours. I hope the threaded parts are better threaded on yours. It is easy to install by the way. Fits great on a bucket or anything with a thin lip on the side.

First off, it works fine. At least it has for a few days now.Now the frustrating part. I put this in a water trough for cattle. Figured I'd give this a try vs the standard black rectangle float valve box that comes with the trough. I need to attach this directly to PVC, 3/4 pipe. So I go to the community hardware store to find a threaded fitting to screw this to. I find the threaded PVC fitting and attempted to screw it together but failed with every attempt. A store employee comes over to offer assistance and he trys it. Again, it's a fail and now we're both scratching our heads. Why does a device intended for plumbing not work with pipe threaded fittings? We tried brass, iron, and garden hose. None would screw together. In the product picture it looks like a washing machine hose so we tried that and it worked. Now the really odd thing, washing machine hose will attach to PVC pipe thread but this float valve will not. Now I know you're thinking this guy doesn't know what he's talking about and if I hadn't experienced it, I'd think the same thing. But I have a store employee who was there with me and experienced it too. Now seeing this we are really scratching our heads because this makes no sense at all. In the end we were able to configure 3 fittings to make this connect to 3/4 PVC. I don't know what the fitting is that connects directly to the float valve but it did allow it to connect to a threaded PVC fitting which then connected to a 3/4 PVC connector. Now why this doesn't screw to pipe thread is a frustration and makes no sense, but that's the way it is.

We ordered two of these valves on 09-30-24, Installed on 10-15-24, exactly as instructed. Tested and both seemed to work great. Two weeks later the first one failed and stopped refilling fountain. Today the second one failed and stopped filling fountain. Great idea if they worked. DO NOT purchase, there is no refund or replacement and online troubleshooting is useless. I would give them a zero if we could.
