First of all...I've seen many reviews of this when I was looking to buy this and I don't think they gave this a fair shake.I took this on my trip to Belize this past Summer where I did a LOT of snorkeling and underwater activity!Here's my honest thoughts:This was a perfect addition to my trip for any underwater acticity, I saw a lot of complaints about the cheap plastic or water getting into the sealed portion.Let me just say, I had NONE of those problems. The seal held up VERY well and I screwed and unscrewed this MANY times.So here's my review thoughts:Pros:1. This thing was PERFECT to hold onto! My grip never left and I never once lost this becuuse the grip on it is FANTASTIC!2. The strap is VERY useful as well, whenever I didn't want to just hold the camera I used the strap and it was perfect.3. It held my camera on very well, it screwed right in and there was never once a problem. I actually brought a tripod handle stand and never once used it because this was just so handy!Cons: Honestly, nothing I can think of, the item did exactly as it was supposed to do and worked above and beyond what I thought.

First impressions, this is a sturdy little mount with a pretty good seal at the bottom for storing small items. The grip feels good in your hand and the small wrist strap is also very nice. It comes with one of the longer thumb screws which is really nice as the longer ones are easier to tighten since they stick out past the camera body.I have a GoPro Hero 3+, and I tested this prior to taking on vacation. I did a quick test using a 5 gallon bucket to see how it would float and if it could still float with my extended battery pack (GoPro Bacpac). Needless to say, this thing floats pretty darn good, even with the extended battery pack attached. While submerged, the camera hangs down at the lowest point and the bottom of the mount sticks straight up out of the water about an inch an a half. This is a good thing since it keeps the screw cap up and out of the water, preventing water intrusion into the small compartment. The yellow body improves visibility while in the water, so that's a plus. The screw cap itself has 2 o-rings, which is a neat feature.Overall, great mount that does exactly what it advertises. Would recommend to anyone.

Good diameter. Easy to hold. Thumbscrew can be a little troublesome. Once attached to my GoPro 9 it works fine. I got a hi viz yellow one.

I will try to keep this brief. Unboxing: It feels nice, solid & well built. It mates with the GoPro style mounts perfectly. Speaking of GoPro, they could learn from this fastener! The GoPro fasteners are kind of squarish shaped. They work OK. This fastener is about the same size but the end is more of a wing nut type of shape. That makes it easier for wet, slippery, or cold hands to tighten without effort.It is slightly longer and I believe the same diameter than the grip I had been using and that is perfect. It is a better fit for my man hands, and being the same diameter, someone with a smaller hand wouldn't know the difference. An added benefit for the longer grip is slightly better buoyancy. That might make it easier to spot if you throw the camera to someone a distance from the boat. Not sure yet I have only used it in the pool so far.I also love the grip itself. I don't think it's silicon, but it has a nice grippy texture. It's great for sunscreen covered hands! My old grip is smooth plastic and the grip would just squirt out of my hand. I like that the removable cap on the bottom of the grip has 2 o-rings. That should ensure everything stays dry if you take it deep.The elastic lanyard with an adjuster will be nice for diving or anything else when you're wearing gloves. Will definitely prevent it from accidentally slipping off.

The handle feels very well made, including the connection prongs. I took it in the ocean numerous times and had no issues. I was worried about the lanyard but it worked without an issue. I did eventually replace it with a stronger one to ensure it didn't break. I did a float test (with just a weight on it and not my camera) to make sure it would work like I needed it to. It floated every time, even with the weight I used being heavier than my actual camera.It's comfortable to hold and dries quickly. I also appreciate the storage inside the handle. I put tissue in it the first time I used it and it was perfectly dry after hours of snorkelling. After that test I put keys and other small things inside during the next adventure.I would purchase again.

I recently bought an Osmo Action 3 to record holiday and family adventures. This piece of kit has proven to be the best value of all the add ons I bought. It really is go anywhere robust and versatile as a hand held both in an out of the water - if I dropped it when kayaking or snorkelling, it just floats to the surface, the yellow plastic being easy to spot. The waterproof 'inner chamber' is an added bonus - the end just screws out (two rubber ring seals) so you pop in your room key or any cash you may need for a post snorkel beer.
