I absolutely loved this muffler for about 6 months and that's when i realized how annoying the cabin drone is. Don't get me wrong this muffler has a great loud tone but the drone gets annoying. The drone is so bat it vibrates the cabin while on the highway.If you want a muffler that is loud and doesn't mind drone this is the muffler for you.If you want a muffler with a deep mild tone and no drone this is the one for you >>

Came with some damage to the inlet, so I just heated it up and fabbed it back to normal. Only took 5 minutes.Muffler sounds great not too loud but has a nice deep tone. I cut the elbow off my tailpipe and dumped it in front of my rear axle. If you want it really loud im sure it would help to remove the CAT. Sounds great at start up, idle, and take off, once you get going you can barely hear it in the cab or from outside.Muffler is not plug and play you will have to get some 3 inch extension pipe and maybe a connector to dump the pipe where you need it. You will be able to connect to tailpipe if you want but i assume you will need some extension since the muffler is only 19" overall and stock is over 26". Also you will need to tack on the old hangers to the new muffler, or just get some galvanized braided steel wire to hang itI reccomend dumping it in front of the axle as I had great results.

I like how these are built without stuffing to burn out. They are loud but last a long time and don't restrict flow.

Got it on a 19 Silverado 5.3L, super nice and aggressive sound when stomping on it, cold start pretty loud, can definitely hear difference from stock but fairly quite at idle once warmed up and at cruising speed no drone at all or very little but only if you really listen for it. Would recommend getting if you're wanting something louder than stock. Also would recommend getting it done at muffler shop as you would need to make adapters to make it work.

As a longtime customer of Flowmaster Mufflers especially the 40-series, I'm still impressed by how good they sound, if they add horsepower that is even better. Just not impressed that the owner of Flowmaster Mufflers B&M Automotive Group moved the production to China.
