If you have a Floyd Rose, you absolutely need it to do a proper string intonation adjustment. It's easy to use, the price is right, and it really is a most have to set up a FR bridge.

The tool worked perfectly freeing up ability to use hands to adjust saddles for proper intonation. Nice tool !

Makes intonation more precise and easy to use.

I have found this item does not like to stay put when adjusting the intonation, it likes to pop out of the string guide when pulling the saddles. There were no instructions and I have been unlucky in finding a video of it in use, I could be very well using it wrong, I also have a cheap knock off of the floyd rose tremolo system it could also be part of my issues. All said for the price its a good tool a bit frustrating to use but it will get the job done in a pinch.

I finally sucked it up and did a complete setup on a floyd-rose equipped ESP E-II Horizon, different string size and everything. It took me FOREVER because I just wasn't used to it.The thing that did NOT take forever? Intonation. And that's because of this lovely little tool. Made it SUPER easy. I wish I could use it on mounted trem guitars (and I may... try... still). It may not be STRICTLY necessary but, MAN, it made it so much faster. No worry about the intonation "backsliding" or anything.Plus? It's a lovely little piece of well engineered anodized aluminum... so the device itself is quite lovely :)

Technically you can set the intonation without something like this, but whoah, this makes it so much easier. Save hours, not minutes. In simplest terms; This thing holds the saddle in place, wherever you want it, while the bolt is loose. Move the saddle forward or backward as you pluck the string, until its in the right place. Bonus - it holds tight enough that you can take the guitar off the table and set the intonation while it's in your lap.

This tool is a little pricey but well worth it. Really excellent design and easy to use.Floyd Rose bridges are awesome once you get them dialed in. But dialing them in properly can be a real challenge sometimes. With this tool, it's a super simple and quick process to intonate your guitar with a Floyd Rose bridge. If you struggle with your FR Bridge.... stop... buy this thing. You'll thank yourself later.

I really wanted to love this tool. I watched a video of the designer setting up a Floyd Rose and that's how I found out about it. But when I used it to setup my 2009 USA Charvel San Dimas, I ran into multiple issues.1. I believe it's easy to strip the adjustment screw threads. I am not an ogre, frankly I'm a paranoid wimp and am super delicate and gentle, usually at the cost of time. But I noticed each time I used the tool, the threads felt differently when I removed it. Working the screw back and forth seemed to fix it, so perhaps it was just dirty, but I don't think so... I took it right out of the package when I went to use it and blew it out with compressed air at one point. I didn't observe any debris in it. Regardless, it doesn't seem to be made of especially high grade metal.2. The tool was too long for two of my saddles. These two saddles on this particular guitar, for whatever reason, happened to be moved too far towards the precision tuners, and the tool would not close enough to fit. It doesn't need to be this way - the tool could be made shorter. It could be that the guitar had other setup issues and these saddles were considerably out of adjustment, but then, that's precisely why I'm adjusting it. Using a tool like this on a guitar that's not yet setup well or perfect is going to be a common case. The tool should be usable across the full range of saddle travel just as a matter of robustness.3. The tool slipped out twice. Mine didn't go flying across the room as others have reported, but it was "exciting"... I quickly hustled to loosen the string before anything else slipped. This was the point where I gave up; I'm nervous about using it now.4. It doesn't actually save enough time to make it worth it. After fiddling and fussing with it, I found it was faster to just detune the string, relax and sip my coffee, loosen and move the saddle with no anxiety or hurry, and retune the string and check the intonation again. It doesn't take more than a few seconds to wind the string down and remove tension from the saddle. Perhaps a stage tech who's well versed with it and knows his customer's instruments well would benefit from it.I recently bought another guitar with a Floyd Rose and when I get to the point of setting it up maybe I'll try again. I'm not going to return it because frankly I really like the guy in the video and I want to support him, his videos have otherwise helped me. But this tool is not for me at this time.

This is an amazing product and it comes with my full recommendation. I built a brand new strat and put a Floyd Rose in it and use this well manufactured tool (steel and aluminum) seamlessly to intonate properly. The headache of adjusting the saddle retuning doing it over and over is no more. Bottom line, if you do your own work on your guitars then you definitely need this tool if you have a Floyd Rose. Best purchase ever in my opinion.

Works as intended, but took a few frustrating attempts to get the hang of. The tang that fits into the saddle does so at an angle meaning downwards pressure needs to be applied while you wind the screw to adjust intonation or the tool pops out and the saddle shoots all the way forward.

If you've ever tried to set the harmonics (intonation) on a Floyd Rose bridge without a tool like this, you'll appreciate just how valuable it is! rickstardownunder (rock guitarist)
