This unit arrived as expected. I took it out of the box and began using it immediately. Turned it on, connected it up to UPC jumper, pressed the handy little ‘AF’ button on the probe. In a few seconds my fiber end face came into view on the large display. The fiber was dirty so I cleaned and rechecked. Worked great. It took less time to inspect than it did to clean the fiber. I tried it on a crowded Corning frame. The flashlight was handy and the small probe allowed me to easily check ports.

I would give zero stars if I could due to the fact that I purchased what was listed as a “new†fluke fiber inspector but was delivered a used piece of equipment.

Auto focus and the compact probe made this very easy to use. I checked 12 UPC bulkhead connections in a few minutes.
