I suggest that you have one of these on hand for a backup. They do go bad at times.

Overall the product worked perfectly for my need which was to replace the same part that hard started leaking on my fx6. Replacement was pretty straightforward but the piece had zero instructions which could have resulted in some broken parts had I not looked up the instructions on YouTube.

I dropped by Fluval FX4 and broke this part. The replacement fits perfectly. To replace, use a screwdriver to bend the plastic retaining tab on the side away from the part. unscrew the part counter-clockwise while pulling to release the part. It is just tabs, not a screw thread. Insert the new part and turn clockwise, allow the retaining tab to click into place. Description suggests that this fits Fluval FX5 and FX6 as well.
