  • Malaysian Driftwood – Native to wild Betta habitats, Malaysian Driftwood helps to create a natural looking aquarium and helps establish beneficial, amber-tinted water conditions through the release of tannins and other compounds that may help to promote overall fish health
  • Dimensions – Fluval’s aquarium driftwood measures roughly 8.19” x 2.44” x 1.61”. Due to the natural and unique nature of this product, the driftwood may vary slightly in size and shape. Each piece is hand selected for its natural appearance and durability
  • Aquarium Decor – The Malaysian Driftwood tints the water a gorgeous and natural amber shade, which helps create subdued lighting conditions that are preferred by Betta splendens. Driftwood provides a realistic, natural habitat for fish to explore and hide in
  • Lower pH Levels – Fluval’s Malaysian Driftwood helps to lower pH levels which, in turn supports ideal water conditions for your finned friends. To avoid water discoloration, presoak or boil any natural driftwood before adding it to your aquarium
  • Natural & Unique – Not all pieces of driftwood will sink right away, Fluval suggests pre-soaking the wood in a clean bucket for about a week, while changing the water once to twice daily. Some pieces may need to be weighed down for the first few weeks once added to your aquarium

I have a 5 gallon tank for my 1 Betta fish. I only wanted a small piece of driftwood. This driftwood is the perfect size. I read that driftwood helps with the health of your Betta and aquarium. I soaked it in water for 2 days, sanded down rough edges and it sunk right to the bottom. I was worried that it was going to float but since I soaked it, it is staying at the bottom

What I got was way small and it will not sink, it’s been floating for over a week now, plus it’s just plan ugly I gonna throw it away it looks like the seller went out behind his house and picked up a stick. Terrible seller

I got one piece that was sooo cool, like a 6 out of 5 stars... Then I got another that was really lame, I put it in anyway for blackwater aquarium effect I wanted.. Actually as of now my betta likes to hang under the smaller one, cool!! I positioned it so the water is flowing on it, possibly a really good idea for a piece that floats. These things do leech tannins and that is what I want. Will order a 3rd one and if it sucks I'm knocking my rating down to 3.

I purchased this small piece of driftwood for my 5 gallon betta tank. The edges were a little sharp, but I filed them down a bit and soaked the piece in warm water all weekend. It never leaked any tannins, so I went ahead and put it in my tank. Its very small, but that was what I was looking for. roughly 3", so if you are looking for something more substantial, this is not it.

Received this piece today , this product is not only super small but also like a piece wood from an old fence , it floats like a fishing bobber as well,After treated with boiling water for thirty minutes, the water turns into dark brown, I had other driftwood but it sinks to the bottom , I have never seen a floating driftwood like this.

Nestled this in the gravel of our horizontal 10gal that houses our betta, some Cory’s, a pair of snails, and some shrimp. Can’t say it’s done any balancing to the tank as it seemed to be thriving from day 1, but looks great among our plants.

This piece of wood is tiny. Absolutely tiny. I should have known better than to order wood without seeing the actual specimen. Ah well. It’s in the tank anyways but I’ll def be buying locally next time

Me llegaron 2 pedazos de madera que ni juntándolos cumple con la especificación del producto. Muy poca madera a un alto precio. No vale la pena.

Beware that this driftwood didn’t come at all as expected. If you’re after something decorative for you Betta tank then look elsewhere. If you need something to help keep your Betta entertained and comfortable this is for you! The wood came as a 3-4 inch long log that floated for about a month in the top of the tank before becoming water “logged” enough to sink down. It is smooth and won’t harm your Betta but just a heads up that this didn’t look nothing like the picture and is really small!
