I bought this cast aluminum flywheel to be on the safe side to remove the governor on my new predator 212 "I've heard the stock flywheels are unsafe at high RPM's" and this new flywheel is a legit upgrade. I have not used the 8 degree advance timing key yet "I just used the stock one that came with the motor for now" but I did receive it, along with another stock timing key. The motor does spool up faster on acceleration and I'm not worried about the flywheel coming apart when running the motor wide open with no governor. I did lap the new flywheel in with valve grinding compound as suggested by youtubes "BLACK 66" He has a great channel I highly suggest checking him out... I have also upgraded to GoPowerSports 18LB valve springs to prevent valve float as i'm using the stock cam with no governor. So the flywheel, 18LB valve springs, and Governor delete are the only things i have done to my new engine so far and it runs great for what I want my mini bike to do right now "Pretty Freekin Fast!" I would recommend all the products I have used on this motor... MINI BIKES ARE AWESOME!

After carefully lapping in the fly wheel and checking with engineer blue I cleaned the mating surfaces and installed the flywheel using the supplied 7 degree key .Upon starting the engine it was back firing like crazy.Removed flywheel to find that the offset timing key had basically disintegrated itto metal flakes which I could crumble with my fingers. I went through the lapping processagain and installed a new standard OEM key the engine then it ran ok . I was lucky that the crankshaft on my engine was not damaged . Its running but I still need a key that will give me the correct advanceThe main reason I selected this seller was because I needed the advanced key .I have used several of this type of flywheel in the past the first two worked great and still work fine .The last two I have been problematic I won't be buying more !

It is still a upgrade from the stock fly wheel I would just buy the timing key from go power sports so it would last but with the stock key it work great and has great power

Works fine but doesn't have enough timing advance. I don't bother with the included #8 key. I time them to 32 degrees and torque them down without a key.

The flywheel stripped out by the keyway after running about 30 seconds. I need a replacement. The replacement looks fine and not installed yet. I see the key is fortified stronger than the other one. It has a lip that covers the stripped-out area.

Immediately upon installation my bike began to vibrate. It eventually made the side case of my tillerson leak. I had to remove it because it causes vibrations. Clearly it is not balanced. Just buy the real thing.

This flywheel is a great addition to your build if you’re trying out save some money. It revs so much quicker, and gave me the extra power I was looking for. I noticed minimal casting fractures, and I don’t think I’m afraid to bring it up to power without fear of the flywheel exploding. Had one before that was scary and I just couldn’t take the risk. This came with the keys to advance your timing. Made a great overall improvement.
