If you're buying this just remember there's no mount included and make sure to get a counterweight as it will be pretty front heavy when you put it on, you can't see through them and the "battery" pack can't be opened so you can't put anything in it

Bought this for cosplay purposes, and it looks good. Does feel a little fragile, but that should be expected. The mounting mechanism is a bit loose on my helmet, but my helmet isn't mil-spec anyways so could be helmet issue.

The 18 Tactical NVG Dummy Model for Tactical Helmet NVG Mount is an impressive piece of equipment that adds both realism and functionality to any tactical setup. It’s an essential accessory for anyone involved in airsoft, cosplay, or tactical training. The dummy model fits seamlessly onto the NVG mount of a tactical helmet. It attaches securely without any hassle, ensuring that it stays in place during active use. The installation process is straightforward, and the model integrates perfectly with most standard NVG mounts. This NVG (Night Vision Goggles) dummy model is crafted with remarkable attention to detail. The design closely mimics the look and feel of real NVGs, adding a professional and authentic touch to your tactical helmet. The realistic appearance enhances the overall tactical gear setup, making it ideal for training scenarios or themed events.

I'll approach this as a maker and soldier from the standpoint of evaluating a replica for fun/training purposes and discuss conversion potential for digital NVG mods. They're not quite usable as-is to see through when flipped down, you get dim, blurry, blue view through them so they will block your view but they look good for the camera. As far as replicas go these are pretty top notch - I just wish it were at least possible to get a clear view of the scene through the lenses so you can flip them down and look like your favorite video game character without running into walls. If the front lenses were free of thermal stress when cast and were calculated to provide a 1:1 view, you might actually get an ok view there. The rear lenses are in fact acrylic focal length reducers that seem to work and could focus internally mounted displays with an adjustable focal length. The body is very sturdy and hollow which could allow for mounting your own digital optics in there, that could be a fun conversion. The battery compartment is oddly well made, you could totally convert this for holding batteries, just pigtail a power connector there, they even made a groove in the compartment lid for a gasket to seal the compartment. You could make a replacement to hold other cells or an electronics pack as well. The stereo separation width is independently adjustable, though the lock knobs don't function. The front lens bodies also do not have a focus or lock ring (they unscrew to reveal the internals, but the threated part os removable with a set screw to replace that too). If you choose to convert them you'll probably use AF/FF anyway, may be moot. There isn't much room for electronics, your SoC will likely have to be externalized but you could reasonably fix illuminators on each side (between lenses) if you desired. The mounting points, bolts, housing, everything is very rugged for play use, you'd have to be pretty rough on them to damage them. There are places where moisture could get in during use but everything is easily opened for drying it out. Conversion would need some seals here and there. They mount well to the helmet adapter and adapter plate offered by this seller (I got those too) and provide a pretty realistic experience without the silly heavy weight of the real thing bobbing around on your head. None of the digital inputs are simulated on the body.If you can deal with not being able to see through them clearly, just using them for airsoft/cosplay or something, they're very nice. If you want to mod them, there are possibilities. If you just want a toy or decoration that won't break, they fit that use too. If you need a physical demonstrator model that won't cost $50,000 if you break it in the classroom, they're good enough for most of that. I think they're a good buy if this is your thing and they're pretty darn well made.Suggestions for seller: Seller does attempt to point out that you can't 'use' them, I know, but front lenses that are matched to the focal reducers would have been awesome. I think that would really put them over the top and wreck the competitors; what I would not do is ditch those completely and put in clear placeholders, the lenses make for a very realistic looking effect and flat acrylic pieces would look terrible.

These replica night vision goggles are a dead ringer for the real deal. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, they boast a sturdy construction that feels authentically weighty . The smooth, high-quality plastic and realistic dummy features, like power ports and removable "night vision tubes," create a convincingly real appearance. While these tubes are purely aesthetic, they tantalize the imagination and offer a blank canvas for any toy, cosplay, or military enthusiasts. The adjustable head strap ensures a comfortable fit, perfectly positioning the goggles for an immersive experience. In essence, this replica is more than just a costume piece; it's a high-quality prop that's as visually striking as it is versatile.

These look pretty good. If you look at them for more than a second until you can obviously tell that they aren't real. For a basic costume or for a prop they look good. They're pretty detailed and decent quality.I put this on a prop I have in my theater room. It's attached to a helmet. It looks good
