The helmet has a thick ABS shell that feels durable and well-made, unlike some of the flimsy alternatives I’ve seen on the market. Weighing in at approximately 2.5 pounds, it feels really solid and robust while still being lightweight enough for extended wear. The design replicates the headgear used by military operators in the field, and it certainly looks the part. The adjustable chin strap with padding and suspension system allows customizing fit easily and ensures it stays secure during movement. The FMATAL helmet features a suspension system that distributes weight evenly, reducing the 'bobble-head' sensation that often comes with wearing helmets. I was surprised by how well it stayed in place, even without fastening the chin strap. The padding is decent, but I did find it could use a bit more cushioning for long hours of wear. Still, it was comfortable enough for my needs, whether I was engaging in airsoft games or simply wearing it for fun. The breathable design helped keep my head cool during warm weather, which was a significant consideration for me living in California. I can wear this helmet without it becoming unbearably hot after a few hours, making it suitable for long gaming sessions or outdoor activities.The helmet comes with a Velcro system allowing you to customize the helmet with patches or accessories, which is a huge plus for me as I love to personalize my gear. With comtacs and all on it weights in at 3.2lbs. Construction is solid and is a firm helmet. Arc rails are proper spec and all is well. My head is 22.5" around and it fits the M/L perfect. Worm gear system holds and color is nice. Finish is strong aswell. Super impressed over the autoaction helmet. I highly recommend this as its basically equal to the thick and heavy version.

I wasn't expecting much from an airsoft helmet, but I think this would make a rather adequate bump helmet for a variety of tasks that might require one. I'm not sure on the safety rating, but I'd wear it while cutting timber or riding my quad without hesitation. The only downsides I found with the helmet is the chin strap tends to loosen somewhat and the weight is quite a bit more than most bike helmets. Other than that, the looks and feel of the helmet was surprisingly good. It was highly adjustable for a variety of head sizes, and the hardware included for ratcheting the tension strap seems at least on par with most mass produced hard hats I've had. I'd buy it again for sure, just don't mistake this for an actual ballistic/tactical helmet, because it very much is not that. To be fair to the manufacturer, they never claimed it was anything other than an affordable bump helmet.

I ordered this helmet to reduce the amount of gear I need to put on for MilSim events & training. This is not the first Fast Helmet that I have experimented with, but it is certainly the last. This helmet completely exceeded my expectations after limited experience with other (lesser) helmets at this price point. It came packaged nicely with a bag full of hook & loop stickers, foam inserts & a card displaying how the stickers & inserts should be placed. I appreciate that the orientation of the hook & loop stickers is ultimately left up to the end user to decide.Without issue, I was able to attach my ARC Rail adapters for Ear-Pro & a headlamp to the helmet. I also incorporated a FMATAL helmet cover which is secured by using the same screws that hold the chin strap. Eventually (just for fun) I got some fake NVG to test the mounting frame on the front of the helmet. To no surprise, the frame has held up flawlessly. FMATAL GEAR did an excellent job with this product & I'm sure you will feel the same. Would recommend to a friend! Thanks for reading.

I do not do airsoft but I ordered this helmet to mount my night vision which it does very well. Keep in mind that this is NOT a ballistic helmet and will not provide ballistic protection. With that being said the helmet does exactly what it was made for. The provided velcro pads allows me to customize the inner padding to suit my needs and I can also where my hearing protection under this helmet. This is a very nice helmet for what it is.

wouldnt use it for an actual bump helmet to protect my head, but it makes a decent host for nv and hearing protection.
