This worked great on a couple shipments. The better you work mixing them, the fuller they get. Got to mix fast.

I recently used these Foam Bags for shipping, and overall, they did the job well. The concept of expanding foam bags is really useful for packing fragile items, as they mold around the object and provide a snug, cushioned fit. However, there are a few things to keep in mind.First, while the bags are effective, I did find the process a bit tricky at first. As another reviewer mentioned, you have to make sure to spread the foam to the sides of the bag and avoid manipulating it too much during expansion. It's easy to get impatient and try to adjust things, but I learned that it works best if you let the foam expand naturally. The bags get quite hot as the foam expands, and I did notice a chemical smell initially. Thankfully, the smell fades after a short while, but it's something to be aware of when first using them.As for whether it's more affordable to use a can of expanding spray foam insulation instead — that's a good question. I’d say the foam bags are likely a better option in terms of convenience and safety. The spray foam insulation could be messy, harder to control, and not as neat as the bags. Plus, the bags are designed for shipping, so they are more tailored for this purpose. All in all, these foam bags are a good choice if you need an easy, expandable solution for shipping. While they are a bit pricier than some other options, they offer a lot of convenience and protection. Just be prepared for the initial learning curve and the smell.

These are awesome. Perfectly protected a gaming computer for international shipping. Looked up a YouTube video first on the best way to use these. We did end up wasting one so I’d say order a 1-2 more than you need because there is a little bit of a learning curve.

These work really well for packing equipment that you don’t want to get damaged in shipping. Here I used them around the corners, and once expanded they keep it in place quite securely. They have a good amount of foam in them. The instructions on the packets are clear, concise, and easy to follow. You do need to squeeze these quite firmly. Others I’ve used are quite fragile and I’m always afraid I’m going to accidentally set them off when handling them.

These bags are really useful and convenient. After reading the directions and watching the instructional video, I was able to use them easily. It was kind of scary waiting for the inner pouch to burst, but once it did I was comfortable with it. When mixed it has a slight odor for several seconds but nothing overpowering, and then it's completely gone. Plus since it's creating a chemical reaction, it gets surprisingly hot when expanding. Fortunately it cools quickly. I have to say that as large as the bags are I was expecting the foam to expand more. My first attempts were to package fragile figurines. For some reason there were several air gaps that left room for the pieces to shift around. After a couple more attempts I decided to not shape the foam when expanding. Instead, I didn't touch the bag and that's when I realized that the foam fills in better. So the lesson I learned is to only very briefly spread the foam to the corners when it first starts to expand. And then don't touch it. Unfortunately it took me 4 packets to figure it out which can be pricey. I'd say it's convenient as long as it's done just right. But I'm also wondering if it might be more affordable to use a can of expanding spray foam insulation instead.

The idea of these packing bags seemed cool so I thought I'd give them a try as I send items through the mail often. The instructions were clear but I have had issues when trying to expand the foam to the correct size. You have to push on part of the bag to start the process and then squeeze and push the warm liquid throughout the bag to get the foam in place. I tried on several of the bags and finally got one to work for my current packing needs. These packing bags seem like a good idea but I ended up wasting several before I could get one to work for me.
