this comes with two hand saws. They seem well made. They are sharp. They cut easily. They come with cases as well for storage. They do exactly what they are supposed to do.

I ordered this to put in my camping pack with my portable wood stove. I love that this is easily stowed away with all my other gear and can be easily deployed to break down medium to small sized branches or trees to get firewood for my wood camp stove and small smokeless fire pit. Blade has held up well cutting through old cured hard wood and has not become dull or bent. Great value on a great tool.

It's always a question when you're going camping, of what you should bring with you. This saw is awesome for anyone into survival or who just wants a handy tool for around the house and for getting work done without needing a super heavy saw to lug around. The long handle and blade make dealing with hard-to-reach places much easier too, which is great.

I often use a standard (non folding) tree saw when pruning branches in the yard, as it is typically not worth getting out even the electric chainsaw for one or two branches. The problem with the saw, however, is that its teeth are quite sharp, so I cannot leave it sitting around outside due to possible pet injury, and I must myself be careful. This set looked of interest due to the folding nature of the saws, since when folded, there is no chance of anyone being cut by them. This will allow me to leave them outside and/or carry them around more than with the standard tree saw. Tried them out today, and they work well, cutting branches quickly. Of course the standard tree saw has a D handle (which you can put your hand through), so it will still be the preferred saw for cutting significant branches. The folding pruning saws in this set will likely get more use now, however, since I will be able to have them easily available outside. The pouch provides nice storage. Would be a nice set to take camping as well.

I don't do much camping these days but I do like to keep a saw in my Jeep in case I need to cut some branches. I currently have a bow saw stored under the front seat but when I saw these folding saws, I thought they might be a better option. To tell the truth, I was also curious by the fact that they were made in the U.S. Sadly, they are a bit of a disappointment. You can certain saw branches with them but they really do not cut living wood very well (dead limbs were much easier). It seems with the green wood, once you get about an inch into the limb, the saw blades are 'grabbed' by the wood making it very difficult to saw the rest of the way. I happened to have another folding saw (similar in size to the smaller one in this set) that I bought many years ago when I was doing a lot of camping (see the top saw in the picture). I used it to cut the same limb as I had cut with the new saws and it did a much better job. I will admit the handles on the new saws are more comfortable than the old one (which is made of a hard plastic) but the fact that it took me about 50% longer to cut through the limb kind of negates the increased comfort. One other point. The set comes with a nice case but I would have much preferred separate cases for each saw.
