Delightful finger puppet. Back end lights up when you press little button on tummy. The workmanship on the wings and body is particularly fine, I love the little legs!

I needed a lightening bug puppet (didn't think that I would be able to find one!) to go along with a song that I wrote for my children's storytelling programs and this was perfect! Large enough to see in a small crowd, easy to 'light up' (yes, the abdomen actually lights up!), non-threatening look - exactly what I needed! I have other Folkmanis puppets and this one is - as the others are - well built and functional!! Would definitely recommend!

My 6 year old is obsessed with all things bugs and she loves this lightening bug. She had to figure out how to turn it on because her fingers are tiny. You have to pinch and hold to get it to turn on. It's very cute and a must have for young entomologists everywhere.

The little light in this toy is truly delightful. I got this thing, actually two of them, for my nephew, a smart young scientist, and his lovely wife. This nephew recently had his dissertation on chemoluminescence here in Helsinki and I thought these little lights would cheer up his dinner party after the dissertation, given in honor of the opponent. Maybe it was too much of a child's play for a PhD as my nephew never mentioned the toy afterwards. Anyway, I am planning to have a couple more of these little things and have fun with my grandsons.

Adorable and very well made. Some people complained about thier children having trouble making the firefly glow. I just had my neice press it's belly without putting her hand in the puppet and it worked great for her. I'm very happy with this product.

I always bring my finger puppets when I visit my grandchildren and this one is a favorite. So clever and cute.

Great little finger puppet! My toddler (3.5) can’t operate the light button from inside the puppet’s body as designed, but he can operate it by just squeezing the whole lightening bug’s body. A bit over priced for what it is (that is why I gave it 4 stars, instead of 5), but overall great quality product and very well made. I do not regret my purchase and my little lightening bug enthusiasts really like playing with this toy!
